Story in a nutshell: My daughter's birth father left the state (MI) and went to Georgia when my daughter was 6 months old. I initiated a child support case within a week of him leaving town.

Since then, some child support was sent (wages garnished, liens were placed on a couple of his tax refunds). It was barely enough to cover half her day care for a month let alone anything else....! Last payment we received was in 2002.

Since then, I tried to locate him but couldn't, and the GA Child Support Enforcement agency could not locate him either. He owes us about $16.5K. No attempt on his part has been made to contact us in over 5 years.

Well, he popped out of the woodwork recently and got in touch with me. He is still in GA and wants to reinstate his child support, claiming he has "matured" and wants to have contact with "his daughter". Needless to say, I have not welcomed him with happy open arms. He claims I am being difficult but I really don't want my daugher hurt..(continued)

should the t pronouced as "T" or "D"?

english is my second language.

the dictionaries always tell me the answer is t, but i always hear it as d when i am watching television programs or films.

is it because i am not sensitive enough or is it really pronounced as d, or an intermediate between t and d?

Paddy is a massive fan of hurling and goes to every dublin match no matter where its on. Anyway dublin had made it to the all -ireland final and paddy managed to get his hands on 2 tickets, front row, which were like goldust! The day of the match came and paddy made it into an absolutly packed croke park. . .80,000fans. just before the match started, a man sitting a few rows behind paddy noticed paddy was sitting on his own with an empty seat beside him. . . .Curious the man walks down and says " sorry sir if you dont mind me asking, is there anyone sitting next to you?" Paddy says "No, i brought a ticket for my wife but she passed away recently"! Jesus the man said, sorry to hear that! Thats ok said paddy! Still curious the man says "but if u dont mind me asking, would none of your friends come with you during this hard time??? ..........!"No says Paddy there all at the funeral".......

If a customer buys an over the counter medicine at a Chemists, does the counter assistant have the right to ask for the details of any medication you might be taking? There's a girl in my class who I used to talk to and also used to like her but I feel like she really hates me now. She's being really mean to me and tries to comment on things I do.
