When a person looks at the devastation caused by illegal drugs, coming through our pourous borders, should we not demand border security from anyone running for President?

I agree that no one will get my vote who does not address the issue of illegal immigration.

Both parties are wrong on immigration, currently.

To be frank, the illegal drugs are the least of my concerns. Getting Americans off drugs is a better one.

We've been fighting the war on drugs for several decades now and it's a war we're never going to win, simply because the illegal drugs coming into our borders are the result of the abject poverty and instability that exists in Latin American countries like Colombia. Unless we solve those problems, illegal drugs will continue to get in, regardless of border controls or not, because there's a market of supply and demand for them.

That and we all know when Bush says border security, it has more to do with Mexican immigrants and potential terrorists than illegal drugs.

I agree for several reasons.
1) the drugs you mention. 2) the tax burden caused by illegal immigration 3) the likelihood of terrorist gaining access to the US 4) The living wages are being driven down by illegals. This list could go on forever but if people don't get the point it is because they don't want to understand anything but their view.

We should demand border security for several reasons:

1. To protect the job market for our own workers

2. To prevent drug trafficking.

3. To control the movement of terrorists and other undesirables.

4. To control the influx of cheap foreign goods (Chinese, Latin American and, in some cases, Canadian.

5. To control the flight of American manufacturing might.

Items 1-5 are all matters of national security and should take priority over our feeble attempts to stabilize foreign nations.

Let's deal with the threats that face us at home, instead of across the pond.......................

If one needs to repair social secure practices you in user-friendly terms get rid of the cap. difficulty is solved. he's stable approximately that (and such could harm an truly small share of this usa because it concerns SSI money).
