i tried to add someone on facebook, is there a way to know to find out if the person read the request. I was thinking about sending another request, but im afraid maybe the person just dons't want to add me? do people decline?? is there a setting for that?

Is it for the social skills they learn?
Maybe talking with the police officer patroling the halls.
Learning how to get the best prices for drugs.
Learning how to hide or fight.
Learning all the four letter words.
Learning to talk back to adults.
Learning how to put on condoms.
Learning to be tollerant of others actions.
Learning all the politically correct agendas

Or is it the academics?
Being one of the 60% who can read.
Being one of the 25% who know where Iraq is.
Being one of the 20% who make it to Calculus.
Learning how to wast billions in tax payers dollars.
Learning other countries spend less and achieve more

Conclusion. Most people were educated in the public school system so they don't know any better.

Until the libs get out of the public schools take your kids out and look at home schooling as an option.

Today I just found out that my friend ( overseas) got engaged and will be getting married in June of this year. I am so excited for her. She also told me she "did not bother to ask me to be a bride's maid because she knew that I was not gonna come" to the wedding. Yet still she is desperately trying to find another friend whom she wants her to be her maid of honour. I don't know what to do. I am happy for her but I feel a bit hurt because I thought we were closer. I even spent some time with her over the christmas holidays. Do you think I am being too sensitive?

Honestly, I was really looking forward to this because I knew sooner or later her boyfriend was gonna ask her. Knowing how close (I thought) we were. I would have definitely made a sacrifice.

I was accepted to Texas A&M University in their Computer Science program. The reason I don't go to a specialized art school is because I am going to join the AirForce ROTC and do athletics in college, hence A&M offers those three areas. Hence, my question is, would an advertising firm or web design company consider a B.S. Degree in Computer Science as an appropriate qualification to be a specialist in web design and computer graphics. Obviously you need a portfolio and knowledge and use of the industry standard of the types of programs that are used, but, this question is more directed towards the education aspect of my career choice?

Terrorism and radical islam want to impose their highly oppressive lifestyles upon us (oppression of women, restricting any sort of freedom of religion, no booze)

Shouldn't it be the liberals that are up in arms about this threat? Why is it the conservatives are the most loud about the threat of terrorism, not the libs?

the contestants judge soley on their singing ability and not the stories the producers put out there for some of the contestants...for instance this year we already have a crack baby and a guy from the military and last year we had Kellie Pickler who was abandoned by her Mom and her Dad was in and out of prison (by the way her album rocks}

By putting these stories out there some people will vote for them simply because they had a tough start in life...Maybe I'm just being a hard ***, I am going thru chemo and radiation and usually don't feel worth a crap..lol but I would hate for this show to start being more about good drama than the great talent these young people have...so what do you think?

One last thing...could someone please tell me what this star thing is on here now...I'd ask a seperate question but they are here to take me to radiation so if you know plz shed some light on it for me...Thanks people
