really are they! I never heard of this. if they are then probably because they can manipulate any data enough to justify their theories or arguments.

I found the meaning of this word like this...............
1)statistician, actuary
someone versed in the collection and interpretation of numerical data (especially someone who uses statistics to calculate insurance premiums)
2)statistician, mathematical statistician
a mathematician who specializes in statistics
if U do, then this question deserved a 'mathematics' category not physics.
