If we know that the rest mass of any particle is E = mc^2 then can somebody explain the following:

It was observed that a pion decays into a muon, and that their momentum was conserved. However their energy was NOT conserved. Thus it was hypothesized that there is another product of decay to conserve the energy. This new particle had to have zero mass for it to have no momentum - since momentum = MV. Thus they come up with the nuetrino to conserve the energy. However, since the nuetrino has no mass, how can it have energy? - Remember, E = mc^2 !! This has been puzzleing me for a while now!!! any help at all would be great.

I've been dating a great guy for close to a year and I know the ring is coming soon. He treats me great, but I don't feel like we connect. We get along great, but aren't able to have long great conversations. There's always been a guy from my past who I've never been over and despite that its been years since we dated, he and I still talk now and then, and he can always bring a smile to my face. Knowing the ring was coming, I went to see the old boyfriend to see how he felt, thinking he would say he has long been over me and that would mean I needed to close that door. Instead he said he still loves me and he wants to be with me. That is what I've wanted for so long. I'm so torn right now. I'm currently with a great guy who treats me great, but the connection and love I have for the old boyfriend is undeniable. I don't want to hurt anyone, but I know I'm going to end up marrying one of them. What is marriage about? My heart picks the old, my head picks the new, what to do?

I am planning to move to a neighboring school district next year. I'd like to teach elementary school there, but I plan to continue teaching at my current school until the end of the year. When should I start applying for other teaching jobs? And should I tell my current school that I'm planning to leave first? Any advice?

We went on on our first date and ended up sleeping together. She wanted to hand out the next morning but I couldn't. When I called her weeks later (i know, i know) she was friendly to me, told me she she likes me, but wanted to know why I hadn't called in so long, etc.

But she stood me up for the plans I had made with her on the phone.

This was all a couple months ago. I want to call her and wish her a happy b-day and only that, no date no thing, but I am hesitant to because she stood me up.

Would it be a wussy thing to do?

There's a guy at work I've been flirting with. We joke around, give each other "that look", and he hugged me once but it was a friendly hug and was a little awkward. Well, the other day he jokingly asked me in front of another male coworker, "What does your boyfriend think of you flirting with me?" I didn't know how to answer that and now I'm wondering why he wants to know what my boyfriend thinks. I bought some sweet table settings to use while serving my hubby a romantic Valentines meal. The napkins are white, heavy stiff cotton with large open hearts overlapping on them. If the napkin is open all the way and laid out flat, the hearts are in the bottom right corner. Whenever I have a dinner party or even a romantic meal, I always use cloth napkins and I like to fold them in some special way or at the very least use napkin rings. But I have never used napkins with embroidery on them so I am wondering if there is a nice way to fold them that would still show the embroidery besides just the usual folded into a rectangle or square shape.

I really love the idea of a tongue piercing and am so anxious to get one. But I am starting to get worried about being called slutty by my classmates. A couple girls who don't like me have already called me slutty, and I'm worried that if I get this piercing, the rumors will only get worse and I could have a horrible reputation for no reason.

I feel that if i don't get it, I won't be able to stand up for myself on issues like this, even after I graduate high school. But if I do get it, I will undoubtedly have to deal with a few whispers behind my back.

Should I trust my judgement and get this piercing? Or should I make life easier and try to eliminate the gossip?

EVERY single time my husband gets paid his ex wife is calling/emailing him wanting to know when the child support will be there. He has NEVER missed a payment and the child support goes through the state. It doesn't matter how many times he tells her 'Call the state, they'll know better than I do' - it doesn't stop her from calling again in two weeks. If he doesn't give her the answer she's looking for she withholds contact to his kids. Though I'm aware that she needs to be taken to court for contempt (for withholding the kids from him) what can be done in the meantime while the kids are being used as pawns? Should I just sit back and let her take advantage of my soft spoken husband? Let her play on his emotions time after time or stand up and defend him? I don't want to overstep my bounds - but at the same time I want to take a stand as his wife..I'm so torn. What would ~YOU~ do?

Celebrity Big Brother is populated by foul-mouthed,illiterate,racist,nobodies whose only claim to fame is that they have big mouths,cannot speak without swearing,unable to articulate a sentence without sounding like a dockyard fishwife,no decent diction amongst them,and whose IQ can be measured in single figures on a hand.What are we teaching our kids these days if this rabble is the best they can come up with?Are we really expecting our kids to have these imbeciles as role models to look up to?Perhaps with the general level of racism now being shown all day and night on Freeview,its hardly suprising kids never learn tolerence and respect for each other if this is the kind of dumbed-down, boring and despicable TV we're being subjected to.Nothing else matters these days except how much money C4 get for screening this trash.Why get in the way of good manners, tolerence and acceptence of others where C4 profits are concerned?Bring back decent TV!
