If your dog has red eyes, it probably wouldn't hurt to use ordinary generic eye drops. Eyes are eyes, after all.

Sure... but many prescription eye preparations can be used on dogs for treatment... at the vet's advice. Avoid any human over the counter eye drops.. other than artificial tears.

Yes, they do but you will to know which kind is needed for what condition. If he is just having a slight dry eye problem, you can use eye drops for contact lens users.
