Just to clear the air, I'm a guy, 19 y/o.

I just got off the train, and I noticed this group of kids, possibly a year or two younger than me. I started walking away, and all of the sudden, I hear them making a comment about how I dress. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I dress like super goth, but just "not the norm", but still subtle. Someone from that group kept yelling out the same insult over and over. Now, I could have went back there and confronted the person, but it wasn't worth it. I could have, granted I'm not the most intimidating person when it comes to 1 VS a group of people, but I COULD have. Now, I'm just filled with anger. Why would random people insult me by how I dress when the area is filled with possibly hundreds more people who are more different?

How am I supposed to deal with things like these? So I'm different. How am I supposed to react when someone ignorant is making fun of me? I'd get into a fight, but that'll only make me look dumber. What do I do?

on one hand th bible teaches an eye for an eye on the other it teaches to turn the other cheek

My belief is that if we took an eye for an eye then we'd all be blind so we should turn the other cheek.

Does this mean we should let people walk all over us?

ails:I am kind of scared cuz like i went to my backyard to get my dog right..we have a sliding door...so i peeked my head outside my pitch black backyard (you could see like shadows and like stuff thought)..and called my dog..it looked like she was sitting upright on the left of me on our deck area..i called her and all that thing did was stay there and like stare at me..then i see my dog run up to me from the opposite direction and start barking at it..i shut the door and ran across the house to my parents room..wow i almost like had a heartattack..anyways..what do you think it was..(it cant be any type of wildlife what so ever i live in miami not in the forest)

i am a guy, and i have a friend who i thought was a really good friend until he appearantly stopped wanting to hang out with me. well, we use to hang out every weekend, now it seems he only calls me when he has nothing better to do, about once every three weeks. there was a point when he told me we were best friends...but anyway, i am gay and he is fine with that, i also sorta like him to, and he seems to be fine with that also. i feel like i am being used as a backup friend... this saddens me because i do not have a lot of friends, especially ones i've told i'm gay. maybe he just doesn't like me as much as his other friends, but i though we were pretty tight. should i, if so, how should i approach him about this? just to let you know we never talk about any of this stuff so...
