If God does not exist, then we are merely the result of random fortuitous circumstances. There is no hope beyond this life. So why waste what precious moments you have left refuting something that doesn't exist?

We see religious people killing each other or abusing gays or following whatever their religious leader says about morality instead of thinking for themselves, and we want it to stop. We feel pity. Or at least I do.

Because, I enjoy it (refuting claims that a god exists that is).

I do not have to "work so hard" to "deny" the existence of a god. I think you have to work hard to convince yourself of the existence of a god and that is why you guys keep posting things like this.

I simply see no evidence of the existence of any god, let alone yours.

Because we are constantly bombarded by questions wanting us to explain why we do not believe. It is a known fact that christians are more accepting of muslim beliefs over atheist beliefs. For some reason people are more accepting of those who believe in a different god over those who don't believe there is such a thing as a god.

becuase they aren't selfish, nihilistic individuals because of the so called "godlessness" many christians think disbelief leads to.
despite this being their only life, they feel a moral obligation to free others from immoral lies. granted their are still things to salvage from a false faith like christianity, their are many things in it that are perverse and are in no way life-affirming. in some ways christianinity brings hope, in other ways it is no more than a death cult.

If people were content to keep their faith in their homes and not bring it into the political arena, then we would be fine. But Abrahmic thinkers hold certain influence in many Western societies, and this needs to be overcome.

acctually people like me who dont go to church and dont really think about god and such. we dont really waste time trying to prove if the man upstairs really exists. i think he exists but i dont waste precious moments worshiping him. if god really loves me then he will accept that i love him/her and will not need to worship him/her
