Why can't we remember our previous life ?

Question

I wanted very much to remember what I was in my previos life but couldn't. Why ?

We are all here to be tested, this earth life is just that... a test for us to see how well we can make choices, do the right things... etc! So, we were sent here to take on earthly physical bodies and make choices every day! If we could remember the past life that we had, it would not be a test for us... we would know all the answers and there would be no point to the test! So, we had that memory of that life shielded from us for a good reason! It was called forgetfulness... or veiled... it is still there and sometimes it is very thin... some people have a glimpse of it from time to time, and maybe a feeling of a de ja vu' will come over them! That is ok, but we will not have a full remembrance of this past life until after we pass through this present life... and return to our spiritual dwelling place... some call it home, our heavenly home!

I was a shoeshine boy in Memphis in my previous life. I shined a pair of alligators and got a hundred dollar bill one time. I learned that trade from my rag-poppin' daddy. I Had a hoochy-coochy girl that danced to entertain my customers. I paid her a dollar a day. But she was shy on age and the law came and took her away. I could sing, dance and play the harmonica too. Then, one day as I was walking across the street I was hit by a brand new 1945 Studebaker. Next thing I know, here I am back down here on the earth. I have been told that only about one tenth of one percent of the population remembers their last life. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. One day I might tell you about my very first life ever. I was an inventor and artist from Da vinci, Italy, but that is an entirely different story.

Since we don't have anyone who has credibly testified to having had a past life all we can really do is speculate. Let's try. Perhaps because we learned what we needed to in the past life and we have something entirely new to learn in this life...and allowing a window to the past would interfere. Or...we simply don't have the capacity to have a clear memory even though we somehow carry some of our learnings from the past into the present. Or...if we could clearly remember what happened in the last life (or any of them) it would severely interfere with the focus we need to place on our current life. I suppose that when I learn the correct answer it will be between lives and I'll forget it in my next life.

The Cosmos must have downgraded (decended) your lifeforce. When you are downgraded, you don't have a large enough brain to remember your past. If you had been upgraded (ascended) you would have been given all the memories of your past lives. This helps you make better decisions, but when this doesn't happen, you have to start over with a clean slate.

You may have been something really special, maybe even an energy being, but you screwed up big time.

You had better make this life a good one or you could end up as a dung beatle next time.

we does no longer recognize, for this reason we tried no longer to do evil. trouble-free as that. Spending time questioning about previous existence and destiny existence is stupid once you won't be able to even make good at modern-day existence. you're like asking "in case you get into your modern-day severe college because of your grades on your easy college, what's the point of "interpreting puzzling"? How did you recognize regardless of marks you receives on your college existence does no longer thoroughly undo each and each of the learn you had achieved in severe college? Karma can under no circumstances be out of stability. it isn't measurable.

I read your other responses to see if I had anything to add. I have to agree with Maggie. I have recurring dreams of places I've never been & people I've never met. I get vibes from people whether I like them or not when I first meet them. I don't know why we can't remember, but maybe we couldn't handle it emotionally. I saw a thing on A&E or Discovery where a guy was afraid of water & discovered he died in a submarine in his last life.He contacted the people he remembered & they confirmed things about him no one else could have known.

Hello, I am glad to tell you that you didn't have a previous life before this one.Now the GOOD PART.In The Holy Bible it explains that God planned you before you were ever formed or born from a woman.It tells of God creating Adam and Eve and they had children and they had children until it got to you.
The Bible tells how HE made Adam from the dust of the ground.He then breathed into Adam's nostrils and Adam began to nbreath and live.Adam was lonley in The Garden of Eden,so God put Adam to sleep and took a rib from Adam and God made Eve.This is where mankind started from.Men and women would have children and it continued till we were born and continues today.Also God loved man so much that he put a living soul in mankind. Now Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden because God wanted them to.He gave them rules to abide to,and one rule was to NOT eat of the tree of knowdege and truth.God told Adam and Eve if they sinned or done wrong by eating of this tree of knowdege and truth,that Adam and Eve would surely die.This gave all of mankind a sinful nature and we would all die at other times.
God Had a Plan!!! Because God's Son,Jesus Christ loved us so he would put all our sins on His (Jesus) back.Now to do this Jesus had to come down on this earth, and God saw Mary and knew she would be the one to give birth to Jesus Christ.Jesus put all our sins on his back,and Jesus would suffer,bleed,and die on a cross for our sins.Jesus loved us this much.Jesus was crucified on the cross and by The Power of God,God would raise Jesus from the dead three days later and walk on this earth till he returned to Heaven.God gave all people a choice to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour,repent of our sins,or turn away from them,and trust that Jesus promished us Eternal Life if we would trust in him.
Now ,if we refuse Jesus as Lord and Saviour then we would be have a punishment of being totaly separated from God and Jesus.We would be cast into Hell,which is a lake of fire,forever and forever for not trusting God.
Once you accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour,Jesus said he will give us eternal with Jesus in Heaven.The steets in Heaven will be made of Gold,and there will be white pearly gates.There will be no dust in Heaven.When you die Your Soul will be present with Jesus and when Jesus returns to this earth he will bring the ones that love Jesus,and bring their soul and old dead body together and give them or us a New body that will last forever.This will be your permanet new body and it will live forever after this.

Exactly, because you didn't have a previous life. You have one life to live, you are you and you have never been anyone else and you never will be anyone else. God made you purposefully and exactly, there is no repeat.
