Wi Fi means that you are able to wirelessly connect to the internet using your home network computer router using DSL or Cable Internet. For a playstation 3 that doesn't have Wi Fi built in means you will not be able to use the internet to play online games, email or surf the internet.
I suggest that if you plan to use your playstation 3 to play online games or do any internet browsing then Wi-Fi is a must. Plus it is recommended that you have DSL or Cable internet if you plan to use your playstation 3 online. A bigger hard drive such as 60 gigabyte means you have more storage for saving games, music, and photos.

Just means that it doesn't have wireless capabilities. With the 20 gb, you'll have to use an ethernet cable for online access, but yes, you can still play online games.

wifi means wireless ethernet card. you can still play online games if you plug it into your router/modem with an ethernet cable.
the 60GB version has more space, a wireless ethernet crad, a 7-in-1 (or was it 5-in-1?) card reader and silver trim
