My husband and I are celebrating out 5th anniversary in March. He's in Iraq right now, so we'll be spending the day away from each other. My question is......What do I get him for our anniversary? The traditional gift is wood. Anyone have any really awesome "wooden" gift ideas?

When everyday citizens are regulated as to the food they eat, the time to go home at night, and what to smoke or not to smoke, that is Totaltarian regulation?????
Is it too hard to enforce the laws against real criminals?
Violent crime is rampant. Children are in more peril than in 100's of years.
Innocent people are damaged everyday and made into criminals by making unpopular choices, when violent criminals are daily set upon unsuspecting people?

I have just queued in our local Post Office, and the other queues were going faster. However, the moron in front of me had decided to pay several bills using a mixture of cash and cheques and couldn't count anyway, so I was tutting and tapping my feet behind her willing her to get a move on.
But, this seems to happen a lot. If I'm in a motorway queue, it's the other lanes that seem to move faster. I join a short supermarket checkout but the others seem to whizz ahead of me.
So, is this paranoia (why me?) or is there another reason that you can think of?
Does anyone care???

Do people really not realize that fornication is a sin? Or do people just love God in word only now? I see it all the time..."I love God, but I'll go have sex whenever I want because I also love my boyfriend/girlfriend." So what you're saying is you love your bf/gf more than God...?

I say choose one or the other. Either profess your love to God and AT LEAST TRY and do what He wants you to, or just admit you really don't care about God and go do your thing...whatever it is.

I have been bestfriends with (Jeff) since freshman year. And ever since i've known him hes always been very feminine. We are now seniors and everyone in the school KNOWS he is GAY....except him. Everyone is positive he is.....he even tells me when he thinks guys are hott....but he still denies that he is gay. its so frustrating because if he just came out everyone would be so supportive and our school wouldn't be talking about him behind his back.

Ok, stay with me here. I know a person who is a career drug addict; she has been jailed for abandoning her child at a meth clinic in order to get high; has been in rehab numerous times; she has committed various crimes to get drugs and now has a warrant out for her arrest.

She just came back from a stint in rehab and two days later she disappeared after going to the store. I've heard she is flopping at a crack house in my neighborhood and I'm thinkning about picking her up and taking her back to her family.

I would like to call the police and have them do it, but apparently they have been called many times about this particular house, as well as this girl, so chances are they will not respond.

I am at the end of my rope. I realise more rehab will do nothing, but I am sick of seeing this woman abandon her family time and again. Is there anything I can do? Thanks.

I do not feel it is right to allow others to enter our country and live illegally. Why should we have to lower our standards to theirs because they have already ran their country in the ground. Now they are going to come over here and run our country in the ground. Furthermore, the cost of just about everything is going up in the healthcare industry and taxes are higher because we hundreds of thousands of people in this country that the tax payers and insured are paying for to live. I am about ready to go on welfare myself. I can't afford it anymore. The only thing not on the rise is cost of labor. And why you ask well its because the Mexicans work for peanuts causing the worker who actually has skill in a trade to loose work because he is chargeing what he is worth. Not saying the Mexicans don't charge what they are worth cause hey the work they do is shoty and is falling apart or burning up. Look at the facts. We got to stop this humanitarian BS and take care of ourselves.
