I have been married for over 6 years. My husband and I are raising my 10 yr. old daughter from a previous marriage, and we have a 5 year old together. I have a 12 year old step-daughter who lives 4 hours away with her mother and other step-family. When she comes to visit, my husband treats her differently from the other girls. He doesn't discipline her when she should be and buys her whatever she wants. I know it's not intentional, but he does not encourage her to spend time with the rest of us. In essence, we are excluded. How do I voice my concerns to him without him thinking that I am attacking him? Or, should I say anything at all? I think he's afraid if he is a "dad" to her that she will stop coming to visit, so he just lets her get by with things because it's only for a few days at a time. He's not doing his daughter any favors by not teaching her, and he's hurting the rest of us at the same time. What should i do?

If atoms are truely neutral there should be no electrostic attraction between them. Then what make them to form co-valent bond? To be precise, I want to know what kinds of physics lie behind this process.

I got my kitten from a shelter when she was a about 8 weeks. About a week later she started to get sick so I took her to the vet. They told me she had an upper respitory infection and gave me a bunch of meds for her- Amoxicilin, some eye drops, and something else to help get rid of thecongestion. It has been 3 days since the vet visit and I'm not seeing any improvment - infact she may even sound worse. I feel like I should take her back to the vet, but should I give the meds some more time to work before I do that?

Also I'd like to throw out there that I just dropped a lot of money into the last vet bill and now I'm kind of broke, so any "safe" at home remedies would be appreciated.

My wife was forced to quit her job a week ago because she refused to go into the smoking room to do 100% of her job... we just found out that we are having another child and dont want to risk the babies health, so she went to the manager and he said she had to quit, give two weeks notice (while still going into the smoking room) or stay till she is about to pop and come back after the baby is born.... i have heard that some people have been able to get upto or more than 20,000 dollars. and could get the company into trouble for this.
please help me with any information....

Do Police officers and FireFighters an etc have to use codes?

Such as "10-4", "10-20". Would they get in trouble if they just said what they wanted to say instead of stating the codes?

My son went into basic in August and graduated in October. He is now in AIT in Maryland. He said that he has some curvature of the spine and looks like he has some degeneration in his hips. I don't even know what all this means yet. He is supposed to get an MRI next week that will help determine what to do. May need surgery, but we have no clue right now. What can we expect if they want to seek medical discharge? What is the process and what about benefits for him? He is very disappointed with this news. Any info would be helpful.

Whether the other dog is on the other side of the street, half a block away, or next to him.
It is quite embaressing, and once he even started a fight with the other dog.

I had the dog sterilized, so it's not hormones.
I asked the vet and he said it is probably a personallity trait.

Does anyone have advice on a good way of training away this behaviour, or am I stuck with it?

Thanks in advance,
Lee

We put down $200,000 to by a $400,000 home. So we asked for a $200,000 loan at an X interest rate. It was a loan to be paid off in 15 years. By the 15th year (we are currently in the 3rd year) we would have paid off 200,000 plus a LOT more money in interests. We are thinking about paying our house off this year. How does it work??? If we still owe 160,000, do we just make a check for 160,000 dollars, or do we have to pay the 160,000 PLUS the interest that would have been accrued in the next 12 years... THANKS!!!

I am not kicking religion, which is based on Faith and Belief, because we all have beliefs, even Science oriented people like myself. I am intrigued though, by the process that seems to occur in our minds, where our beliefs become certainties; also, we dislike any attempt to undermine what we believe.

Can you describe, by recollection of personal experience, any events that changed your beliefs, either promoting it to certainty or eroding it, causing you to rethink your beliefs.

regards
MM

.
When my cat comes in to my bed, she often times likes to rub right at my face and often tries to sleep right atop my pillow at top of my head or next to my cheek.

I love my cat . . . yet right next to my face ? ! l I like my space and her trying to sleep there bugs me, so I gently scoot her away.

Why do cats seem to like being right next to a person's face and sleep there as opposed to elsewhere in my space on my bed ?
