Well, Tony Jaa does his own stunts. But he only now is starting to get international recognition. I would say Tony Jaa is a better martial artist and performer. As to where Jet Li is a better actor.

by far I would say JET LI
I am not to impressed with Tony as of yet. Now I have only seen one movie of his and that was oan brak or however you say it. Overall I really did not like it.
Now some of the stunts were cool but every stunt that he did they would show it two or three times and it just seemed like they were to focused on the stunts then the story line or the movie it self. watch some JET LI interviews the first thing he says is that he is more focused on the movie and how can he USE martial arts to tell the story. NOT how the movie is based around the martial arts.
as a martial artist I really have not seen to much to say if he is good or not however i have seen some interviews with him and I would say that he has payed his dues and deserves what he has
as an actor I think he that he has a long way to go if he is going to stick around.
FOR THE PEOPLE THAT ARE HERE AND KEEP SAYING THAT ALL HE IS AN ACTOR DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE YOU RUN YOU MOUTH.
HE STARTED TRAINING WHEN HE WAS 8
AND HE TRAINED ON A BROKEN ANKLE FOR TWO DAYS BEFORE THEY STOPPED HIM FROM TRAINING

Jet Li actually trained in martial arts and competed wining 4 Chinese national championships.
Tony Jaa trained as a stunt man. His Muay Thai is basic and only learned in a movie application not in a fight setting...

Jet Li's a better martial artist and actor... Jet Li has a better form and has a better acting.
Tony Jaa is a better performer, he is able to do better choreography.

Tony Ja is just getting established and Jet Li has been in about 40 films. So maybe in ten years we can answer this question.

Jet Li, hands down. It's sad that he's retired, but hopefully he'll do some writing and production work.
