When my cat comes in to my bed, she often times likes to rub right at my face and often tries to sleep right atop my pillow at top of my head or next to my cheek.

I love my cat . . . yet right next to my face ? ! l I like my space and her trying to sleep there bugs me, so I gently scoot her away.

Why do cats seem to like being right next to a person's face and sleep there as opposed to elsewhere in my space on my bed ?

She loves you! Give her some sweet attention for a few minutes and then shoo her away. Your cat must really love you to do that.

youu know i really dont have any real solution to that .as a cat person who has had the privlage to share time with many kitty freinds. ive had 3 (at different times who insisted on sleeeping on or against my face or head.one would actualy do the kneading ,sucky thing in my hair. which wasnt very comfortable to try to sleep with. the cat i have now (squeakers) insists on sleeping above my head on my pillow which isnt too bad i just got a bigger pillow and he,s a gentleman, he waits untill I turn out the light and get settled and then he lays down and doesnt move till morning.somthing that is common with all 3 cats is they were all rescues/ and maybe that has somthing to do with it.maybe they were taken from their mothers too soon? whatever, ive never been able to reform any of them. i just adjust to their quirks and love them anyway. good luck

I have the same problem, but I have learnt to cope with it. They do this to make sure that they are safe and secure and also to check on you. You could always get yourself a new pillow, as she seems to like the one you are using at the moment and just move it down the bed, or try putting it in a box.

She is interested in your scent and this is important to a cat or dog.

Good Luck

I went to visit my mom the other day, I walked in and she had a cat on her shoulders, one on her chest by her neck and one on top of her head... She was trying to nap but said the cats were driving her crazy so she couldn't sleep. She'd scoot them off and they would just come back. They just like being close to her. They trust her. It's normal.

My mom's cat does this frequently. Is there someone your cat might be jealous of? That is the reason why her cat sleeps next to her head. She likes to have reassurance that she loves her.

Thats cute. My kitten likes to sleep on my neck. He will put his head right next to my ear so all I hear is loud purring and breathing. He does this mostly on cold nights, so I just pick him up and place him next to me and kinda cuddle close to him.

Your cat is just trying to be close to you, to show her affection. Just move her to the side and keep close to her.

cat's love to snuggle. try putting a pillow on your bed let her /him know it's just for them. that's what I had to do. my cat did the same thing .Now she sleeps on her pillow.

Your head radiates heat. Maybe the cat is cold.
