According to materials disclosed by TREA, a senior citizen's advocacy group via a freedom of information act lawsuit, illegals will be allowed to get social security after 18 months of work in the US. Because it takes an American 10 years to get the same benefit, is this fair?
Other details include:
1. If the illegal can prove they worked in the US for longer than 18 months, even if by identity theft or false ID, they will be able to collect backpay on the benefits they "lost" while being illegal.
2. Illegals will be allowed to move back to Mexico and retain their benefits, and it will be under the honor system that the family of the reciever to let the US govt know if he/she has passed away.
What is going on here? Do our representatives really represent us or Mexico? This will surely break the Social security system it is ignored by congress.
