Christians if they post about Atheists?
I am an Atheist myself but when I ask questions you ridicule me like I am a Christian just because I question my own faith

I don't. If a person says, "God" (capitalized), that generally means the Judao-Christian god. Otherwise, I try to refer to "gods" or "a god" in the generic sense. Since most people in the US are Christian and I used to be Christian, I will tend to use Christian examples. I try to make them generic enough to apply to other beliefs, though.

I understand your feelings, but humans have social constructs. When someone asks about "Jesus" on the board, we assume that they mean "Jesus of Nazareth" and not "Jesus Hernandez". When someone asks about "Hitler", we all are secure in the knowledge that we're talking about the World War II dictator.
When someone asks questions about a religion, it is usually an understood social construct that they themselves are not a part of that religion. It is generally believed that if you had chosen to be a part of that religion, you wouldn't question it because you would have researched thoroughly and made up your mind before making a choice.
Most (not all) of the atheists on this board are very polite, assuming the question is not nasty. But if you asked something like, "Why don't you atheists believe in a god?", well, that question gets posted 40 times a day and some get a little tired of answering and might edge into rudeness a bit. If you're honestly seeking answers about atheism, try looking in the archived questions - pretty much everything about atheism has already been asked and answered....in some cases, multiple times over.
Peace.
Edit: Since your supposed question was "Atheists: Is it normal for you not to have a sense of humor?", I can see why you weren't answered pleasantly. Make I suggest you refrain from making broad, sweeping generalizations about a group in the future? And how, pray tell, does humor have anything to do with questioning your faith??

I have to answer this one. If people find out you are an atheist, they may automatically assume you must be evil, a satanic worshipper, you must not be human and all that crap. I say that every human being regardless has a right to what they want to believe in no matter what. People dont understand atheist people they dont need to try. I myself am pagan all the way and thats just my life. Im sorry ok but i cannot beleive the things the bible says what can be written by man can surely be destroyed. The way i see it the bible has been rewritten so many times it lost its meaning long the way. Quite frankly i dont want to think i was born of incest and if adam and eve had the only kids and cain killed abel and all that well then where did he get his wife? He must have breeded with an animal because there were no other humans according the bible. It really cracks me up when i hear preachers try to answer that one. I have a problems with christians being they killed more people in history than almost any other religion plus they are great about ridiculing others trying to save face. I say beleive what you want to believe it doesnt matter what they think be true to your own heart.

People whether atheists, agnostic or religious are still people and they tend to jump to conclusions, mis-read or barely read a question before jumping to their favorite rant. Also written (and verbal for that matter) communication is not perfect: what you believe you clearly expressed may not be what your audience reads. This discrepency may exist due to either the composer or the audience interpeting the question differently.

I believe you are an atheist. I was once an atheist myself and questioned my 'FAITH' in my beliefs because of how I viewed other atheists around me.
In fact it was atheism that turned me to God.
All atheists are doing great work for God by sheparding his flock towards him.

Someone said:f you have "faith" in atheism you are not an atheist.
Nonesense.
The meaning of the word Atheist explanes it.
An atheist is a person who does not believe that any gods exist.
That does't mean that i (atheist) don't bealive in love or honesty etc.
Please don't mix that things

You're no atheist.
Any atheist will tell you their stand is not based on faith but facts or a lack thereof.

Atheists do not believe based on faith - they simply don't believe in imaginary supreme beings. It is no more than an objective and logical evaluation of empirical reality.

Correct sho-nuff!
Atheists dont have faith. You're no atheist.
I've looked at your other questions. You're just a Christian pretending to be an atheist. Atheists wouldn't ask such dumb questions. Why don't you come clean?

Sorry, when you talk about atheism as a faith, it's a dead give away that you're a pretend atheist.
