I hv installed the Canon CanoScanLiDE 25 using the disc provided. But the scanner not working. Checked cable & USB connection. A message mentioned about "twain source". Please help. Thank you.

I am using a pc with windows xp home and I would like to add a movie player to my pc. The pc has a primary and a secondary plug in slots, master and slave. I am using AII accelerator. The secondary slot contains a cd reader(master) and a cd/rw(slave) which works. The primary has a 40 pin ribbon w/ 2 long connectors, one for the HDD the other for another device. The back of the dvd movie player has a jumper for slave, master and cable control. The last time I tried to connect this long ago I could not get the HDD to get the dvd movie player to work as a slave. I have used up all the ribbon ports and only have the HDD one left. I should install the software first, but is there something I am not doing like going into BIOS or like that to configure this drive? The back of the dvd player says these words and pins in this order>digital audio,analog audio,cable select, slave, master, 40 pin ied interface, dc input. Could I try the cable select? Thanks Brett

Why all the trouble and fear of rottweilers at the moment. I have one that weighs eleven and half stone. He is the most gentle dog I ever had. My ex has a jack russell that would kill a child, but my rotty can have a baby between his legs and just look after the child. beware anyone that try's to hurt the child though.

I am getting married on the 14th of February in Puerto Gallera, Philippines and my makep/hair artist just cancelled on me!! I cant believe it...I am so beggining to stress out!!

I am also Australian so have western skin tones and blonde hair so I need someone who has done western colouring before. Also on a tight wedding budget so need to be reasonable priced aswell

My best mate and his wife have recently moved to Brisbane and it is our intentention to visit them for a few weeks sometime during 2007. I've heard that an amalgamation of buget airlines, headed up by that nice Mr Branson and Mr Stelios are getting together to offer cheap long haul flights around the world. Anyone know if this is a fact, if so when it will happen, and roughly how much they are likely to charge for say 2 adults and 2 kids, return to Aus?

This my situation: my restaraunt is being sued because it does not accomodate to handicapped correctly. It has been a while and I have not kept up with building laws. The person suing me is also a lawyer who has over one hundred cases, where he goes around and sues small restaraunts to what I feel is to make a quick buck. Supposedly, he sent us a letter. We did not recieve the letter, we suspect that the tenants who we are leasing the restaraunt to must have thrown it away. Should I setttle with him because lawyer charges are too much? He wants a good sum of money and lawyer charges will be more than the cost of just settling with him but I feel it is morally wrong that this man is going around and suing just to make a quick buck. Any suggestiosn?
