Exxon-Mobile isn't just helping to contaminate the atmosphere. It's trying to contaminate the public awareness of global warming as well.

A study by the Union of Concerned Scientists concluded that Exxon donated $15+ Million in 2006 to groups that, "don't speak for the company," but that are set up to spread their propaganda anyway. It's a little scheme called "idea laundering" or something that the PR industry calls "astroturfing". They put the money and propaganda into groups that will do their bidding. Then they say, "The groups do not speak for the company." The groups confirm it, of course.

This is a bit like Bill Clinton saying that he did not have sexual relations with, "that woman." It depends on how you define "sexual relations" or, in Exxon's case, "...speaking for." True, they didn't give the groups the money to be Exxon's spokespeople. Exxon just needed them to say that global warming could be part of the normal cycle of the earth. The difference is merely semantic.

I have a New mouse in my house (named Fast Freddie) and hes one mean bad azz. When i was out someone tried to break in, Well fast Freddie did a cool spin kick move and knocked him out. I'm pretty sure you can if the loss is a direct affect of the breach however, if you're being held liable by a 3rd party, is that 3rd party able to sue you or can they just sue the original party (i.e. the ones who caused the breach)?

I just had a baby on the 28th of dec. I did have her natural. The doc said 7-10 days and stitches will disolve..so how long until i can get in a good work out..starting on my abs and legs and what not.

This afternoon I was eating a lifesaver and & I bit it and my tooth broke in half. It's on the right side behind my eye tooth. I mean like a huge chunk (like most of the tooth)just broke off and the piece that's left is black. Why's this happening? My 2 front teeth did the same thing in November. I haven't been to a dentist in a long time but I thought I was doin ok takin care of my teeth. Maybe not? So what now? I'm 14 and we don't have dental insurance.
