Inspiration is all around you, and inside you. Sure, there are the logical things, like a flower sitting in a vase... but isn't that a bit cliche? What about the odd things... fish in trees, a house made of hair, be creative. Think about dreams in the past. Did you play the head role of an odd object? A bar of soap maybe? Did you get to fly? Let go of every logic you can think of, defy the ordinary... it's inspiring.

I wait for inspiation ..but sometimes it takes 2 long. so when it doesnt find u. U have to find it. Read poems from ur favorite authors. Rite about something simple. rite about an everday thing. I rite about simple and usual stuff. then throughout the poem i can find different subjects.
Also rite down outstanding things that happen not necessarily in a poem but just rite it down. If it is uninteresting at first u wait a few days..the go back to it and see if u can come up w/ something different. Overal;l rite about what u feel.

Poetry can be written on any subject. Even something as random as cowboys. Write a poem about the beauty you see in life, or the lack of beauty you see in life. Write about a vase of flowers, or write about the battle between religion and science. Anything can become a poem if you make it so.

You could write an imagist poem about something which you see which you think is unique. Maybe you notice something that no one else does or you see a resemblance between two things that you don't think others would see right away. Or maybe you write about something special to you that you feel you know a lot about like a favourite pair of jeans and what you've done in them or something like that.

So far we've established that you don't wish to write about love.

However, the best way to solve a problem, is to start working on it. Just start to write, and the solution will come to you.

However, if you have trouble coming up with anything cohesive, start by generating a list of words and feelings, then start from that list.
