Am involved in a 501c3 that is in need of a more sustainable leadership structure. Currently, there is a Board of Directors with the President as the only officer. The board realizes there needs to be a change made to better handle internal issues, and develop a sustainable leadership model.

Am under the impression that a 501c3 cannot make certain changes to their basic function without some legal issues being addressed. Have been unable to find resources on the 'net to help me answer this question.

A message board link or a referral to a mailing list that can help would be much appreciated.

I have a VERY noisy upstairs neighbor and I have to wear earplugs nightly to even think about getting sleep. I'd like to reuse the earplugs instead of having to buy new ones so often. These are the spongy, foam kind that you can buy in the hunter's section for ear protection while shooting ammo. I'm wondering if regular soap and water would work, or perhaps rubbing alcohol, or should I just continue to buy new ones? Any advice appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

Acussed my partner of cheating on me in october, nothing happened, In the last 3 months with have not been intamate and have had several arguments about that day. We both have other problems that are also going on and we put our realisonship on the back burner for the timebeing. We love each other and are going to work everything out I HOPE? I am looking to buy a laptop for myself. I know nothing about them. I only know how to use them. I am looking for just a basic one so I can put my pictures on it from my digital camera and check my e-mail. Can anyone recommend a good one? I am not looking to pay over $1000 for it.

Ok i asked this question yesterday and got some good replies, see link above for more info. Should have been a little more descriptive though. The reason I asked this is because I am considering putting her on birth control pills to help control her mood swings. She is on medication for bipolar but they seem to do nothing for her pms related mood swings. She is only 12 yrs old which is another reason for asking. If the doc thinks the pill would be a good choice for her and she has to have the exam done, I would be taking her and be in the room with her when it is done, I'm not letting anyone do anything to my girl without someone there with her, understand? I know how uptight our society is and everyones first thoughts are that the mother should be doing this, not dad, but I handle all the doctor appointments and taking care of her when she's sick so it's no big deal to me. Thanks.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 11 months may be more. I am now 6 months pregnant with his baby. He has only told me that he loves me one time about 8 or 9 months ago and never said it a gian. I don't bother him about it but I always tell him I love him before we go to bed but never get a response back from him. We live together and have for about the whole time we have been dating. Sometimes I feel that he does, but when we get into an arguement he always brings up my past (lets just say I was not angel) and tells me he don't need me and can find someone better. I like to think that I have changed I don't do any of the things I used to that he brings up. I really love this man and would do any thing for him and have. What I want to know is he in love with me or just using me cause I am easy and vaulnrable?

This really makes me mad. I've always been an active person. Now, everything hurts! In the mornings I feel like I've been hit by a truck. at night I can't sleep because of body pain. If I sit too long, it hurts to get up and move around, like I've frozen. I can't throw a football to my son anymore. I can't reach to wash my back anymore. Working in the yard is painful after a few minutes, as is standing, sitting, walking...even typing, my hands hurt. All labs have been normal, including RA, Lupus, Hep C, and about 20 other ones, plus xrays. The doctors "don't know" what's causing the pain, like it's some big mystery. Waaah! What's happening to me? I know, I sound like a big baby, but this sucks.

My son is 3 and he has a conductive hearing loss that is caused by fluid in his ears. He is scheduled to get tubed put in his ears. His speech is very delayed but the doctor says that he shouldn't need speech therapy. My question is, what are some things that I can do at home to help bring his speech up to where it should be after he has the tubes in and can hear better?
