Now later on they say eggplant dish can start your labor. But only made one way. I don't belive in it. But I added a link below so you can check it out when your ready to have the baby.

For more than twenty years, women have gone to Scalini's Italian restaurant in Cobb County, Georgia, with one thing on their minds: To go into labor. They always order the Eggplant Parmesan, which, so far, has helped encourage more than 300 babies to come into the world within 48 hours of their mom eating the meal.

Most foods in a reasonable quantity are perfectly safe. Papaya extract is often used to treat heartburn in pregnant women.

The only foods you need to limit are those containing artificial chemicals (preservatives, artificial dyes, artificial sweeteners), heavy metals (such as mercury in certain fish), and drugs (including alcohol and caffeine)

Certain foods such as black licorice have been shown to increase prostaglandin production which may cause preterm labour. However generally only in large amounts (licorice has been shown to have an effect if you eat 2.5 packages or more per week throughout pregnancy). That isn't in moderation in my opinion.

You should also avoid foods prone to contamination with bacteria or viruses, particularly Listeria which may be found in raw milk, unpasteurized cheese, shelf stable pate, and deli meats. Heating will kill listeria so you can eat any of the above provided it is cooked first.
