My computer keeps turning itself on and off. I dont even get to the window page and it will turn off. It will do this 3 - 4 times and then just shut off. After about 5 minutes, it does the same thing again. Can someone please shed some light on this?

Say (for example) that you are absolutely against smoking weed. You have no desire to do it, be around, and for sure definitly not date someone who does it. But what if you met somebody and you fell for them and were really interested in a relationship, and then find out they they are pot-heads. Would you be willing to overlook it, or would it constantly be in the back of your mind? This goes for other things too....like....if you wanted your "mate" to have a diploma (either high school or college) and they had no desire to, could you just forget about it in hopes that this person might be "the one". Don't we have "standards" for a reason? Do you think most peoples standards are set WAY too high and we're being picky? Is that being selfish, or do we have the right to want what we want and not settle for anything less?

i had a really wierd dream that Mariah Carey (singer and movie star) was going on ""Titanic"" and then we decided to get on. we rented rooms and everything. can you believe it! Mariah Carey!! i know, it's very wierd! and in my dream, she said she lived like on the other side of the world in this little country i think it was called "Settleton" or something that starts with "settle".

and then i had another dream that i was in an art class with my classmates. We were all painting nice pictures. i painted a picture of a big ship! this girl right beside me was painting a picture of a sunset. her picture didn't look very good. so i went over there and said "do you want to trade pictures with me?" she said, "sure" we traded pictures and then she put up her picture on the board and the picture of the ship ended up being best picture in the school. i got so mad i wanted to trade her back but the girl didn't brag or say haha or anything. she felt glad. this dream is probably about friendship

My house has a problem with dimming lights, appliances, etc. For no apparent reason, all the lights will dim, appliances (fan, microwave, etc) will slow down, etc. It is not due to a single circuit, I’ve isolated various circuits via breaker panel and the lights still dim and then brighten. Check the voltage on the main feeders during one instance and one leg was 85V, the other 155V (this was the extreme, usually its around 130/110). Flipped a couple breakers and lights returned to normal and voltage read 122/122. Next time they dimmed, turned off the same breakers but the lights stayed dim. I’ve tried turning off all 220V appliances, turning off the circuits that use aluminum, etc, but the problem still remains. Its as if the problem is with power coming into the house.

Electrical system details: Pushmatic Service Panel (160amp), 1/2 the circuits are aluminum, other half copper. 3-220V appliances / 10 15-20A 115V circuits.

Does anyone know what would cause this?

Would you say there is equal probability for crystaline compounds forming in nature (quartz, diamond, etc.) and organic compounds forming in nature (Amino Acids, Lipids, etc.)?

We can and have observed the formation of crystaline compounds in controlled circumstances. We have even witnessed the creation of organic compounds in controlled circumstances. It doesn't take a big leap to posit that crystaline substances do occur in nature... in fact you can find evidence in any quary or mine. Similarly, it wouldn't be hard to imagine organic compounds forming through natural chemical processes.

With that said, it doesn't take a great leap of faith to know there is a good probability that organic compounds can form, unaided, in nature. There is then a great probability that this is how life itself got started.

The car cranks...but wont start...I thought it might be a fuel or spark issue...but the car wont even shift out of park. I put the key in, held the brake down and nothing!

I noticed that below the steering wheel, theres a little slot with a light that used to light green, it wasnt lit today. It looks like one of those starguard antitheft thingies (where you need to pop the chip in before you can even start it) but when we bought the car, we were never given the chip or anything...and the light's always been green.

Its a 2000 honda civic dx, I'm not sure how for 2, almost 3 years we've been able to drive it sans chip...any ideas?
