i own a repair shop,,and you either have a brake sticking up on it,,or a wheel bearing going out on it,either one of these will make the wheel heat up real bad,,but a sticking brake will make it get real hot,,a wheel bearing wont get as hot as a brake will good luck hope this help,s.happy new years.

I would look at brakes and Axel bearings and yes this is a serious problem and I would not use the car till it is fixed

problem is more than likely a brake caliper hanging up and yes it needs to be fixed soon

seized rotor or drum is probably what is causing it. It will be dangerous, as you'll overheat the brakes.
