No - my family life is, followed a close second by the close friendships I have with social life following last. I have a happy and content life, surrounded by people I love and trust and those that love and trust me. As a busy mum I don't get out on my own much so defining social life is a bit of a grey area! If that means toddler groups etc then those outings give me sanity but life is as fulfilled without them!

No.

My health is the biggest influence on how happy and contented I am.

I have to take each day as it comes thanks to arthritis and the pain it causes me.

A painfree day makes me happy at the end of the day.

My social life just about consists of me being a member of a certain on-line community.

No, there are many things,
Friends
How much you care about other people
Self worth
Money to pay the rent
Health
Courage to stand alone and fight for what you know to be right.

And when everything around you is falling apart ,to think through your life and pick on one thing, such as good health, and say... "Yeah"! The rest is in a heap at my feet, but I've got my health!
But a good social life on it's own, NO...

Happy New Year!

Regards, Cassandra

No. My financial situation has the biggest influence because having a good social life won't pay the bills (unless you're Paris Hilton).

I'd say it's very important to my happiness. I started uni in september and i havent made any friends really, as I don't enjoy going out to get drunk. Before I went to uni i'd been at the same school for 11 years and made a good circle of friends based around school and a bit outside of school. But since moving 250 miles away to uni, i've been very lonely and really missed having good friends around to socialise with. I've also been suffering from depression and I think this lack of friends is part of the problem.

social life is interaction among fellow beings with emotional aspects of human life. hence the influence is more important in our lives for happy and contented life.

I wouldn't say it's the biggest influence but it accounts for a pretty big chunk of it. Everyone likes to feel loved, supported, appreciated and understood. Everyone needs to laugh and let off some steam every now and then. My friends make me laugh, they never judge me and I know I'm safe with them. When I'm out with my friends I feel so relaxed and comfortable and can concentrate on having a good time. good times are even better if you have people to share them with.

While I think social life plays a big part, I also believe that work life can have an impact it. It is hard not to since we spend so much time at work.

it has some percentage of influence on my overall sense of well being but it isn't significant enough to worry about. The real relationships in our life are those where there is love.
