A blonde was visiting Washington, DC for the first time. She wanted to see the Capitol building. Unfortunately, she couldn't find it, so she asked a police officer for directions - "Excuse me, officer, how do I get to the Capitol building?"

The officer replied, "Wait here at this bus stop for the number 54 bus. It'll take you right there." She thanked the officer and he drives off.

Three hours later the police officer returned to the same area and, sure enough, the blonde is still waiting at the same bus stop.

The officer got out of his car and said, "Excuse me, but to get to the Capitol building, I said to wait here for the number 54 bus and that was three hours ago! Why are you still waiting?"

The blonde replied, "Don't worry, officer, it won't be long now. The 45th bus just went by!"

Well 1st off Im on break from school. I move around alot so its hard to keep friends. Where Im at now I have about 4 people I could hang with. All busy. I dont have anythign 2 do. I wanted 2 relax this break so I chose not to work, but now Im convinced I need to be busy all the time. B/c now I realize my mind is wandering.

Ive been sleepng all day since I got home. Its been almost 2 wks. My birthdays is tomorrow and I still feel no excitement. Im afraid no friends of mine will call me.

The guy I was dating at school used to call me 4x a day. Now were into the 4th day of the 2nd week and hes called me 3 times! I know ppl are busy and such but we made a deal to talk alot. I call and hell call back hrs later if at all. We chat online at times, most of the time I start the convo. i feel like hes losing interest. All the while hes saying hes afraid to lose me...

I havent gotten online or called him all day 2 see if hell bite. he hasnt

noone called me today, and i got 2 text msgs

I ask because, for the most part, it seems to fit in pretty well with my beliefs. I will therefore also ask if there are any deists here at Yahoo answers. And if so, do you attend religious services? Or is your spiritual life fairly individualistic? To me, it seems that most deists would have a personal spiritual life as opposed to attending regular services. That's just based on what I have read about them, anyway.

Also, do Deists tend to believe in an afterlife?

My nephew who is 7 yrs old and he doesnt know how to do anything. U tell him to start reading a simple book and he cant even read at all. U tell him to tie his shoelace and he tells his younger sister to do it. U tell him his ABC's and 123's and the colors and he doesnt even know them at all. U sit down with him and try to teach him and he starts crying for no reason and he requests "I dont wanna do this, I wanna play video games for the rest of my life." What do u think its wrong with him? Why he doesnt want to learn nothing and he failed 1st grade last year and he is failing again. Do u think he has autism or ADHD? Because he doesnt want to learn anything. Please help.

i've lost a lot of weight recently and now i can't stop eating... from sweets to carbs and everything in sight ..its like binge eating..

will i gain weight.?
how much weight have i possibly gained if i ate half or quarter pound a day.

I have a Toy poodle named bella she is about 5mths old and she refuses to go to the bathroom out side!
Right when we take her out of the kennel when we get home or in the morning we take her outside and hook her to a extendable leash and leave her to do her buisness and then take her inside and play with her if she wants no food or water (she can get to her food or water whenever she wants) and then for some reason she just pees right in front of us like it is a joke and then we yell at her telling her she is a bad girl and take her outside put her on the leash again and then clean it up then bring her back inside and put her in her kennel... what am i doing wrong?
What i also think...
I think that we need to wait out there with her and give her a treat when she goes to the bathroom outside and then always watch her and not let her sniff around like she does....

All my life I have wanted to go to New York City. While in service to my country, I travled many mile around the globe. It's been a very stressful year, losing loved ones and all. Emotionaly my heart is making a slow recovery. My conjestive heart failure, I can only guess. They want to leave in eary January. My doctors appointment is in late January. None of us has been the same, since 911. I can not smoke on the planes anymore, and I would not want to drink my fears away before boarding the plane. I love my family, I know they are trying to help me recover from a Thanksgiving Day of my nephew. I feel better at home, tho he died here, I am at peace. When my mother died, it took me 3 years to reenter the home left to me and my siblings. Would you go, if you were me?

Why are women deceptive, conniving, manipulative, selfish, emotionally driven bitches? Why is it that everything they say, think, or do involves some emotion clouding logic and reality and influencing their behavior? Why is it that you can point out the God's honest truth to them for hours at a time to no avail, frustrating only yourself and them in the process? I am 23 years old, and currently 8 weeks along with my first child. Last night, I was laying across my bed when I had this sharp migraine-like pain in my left temple. Followed by numbness in both my right arm and down the right side of my face. I immediately felt sick to my stomach, but I found that I couldn't walk very well, and when my husband asked me what was going wrong, I couldn't make my words come right. I couldn't even think to put together a complete sentence.

I insisted on laying down, and when I woke up this morning I was completely fine. I had my sonogram today and the baby is fine (thank goodness).

However I don't have a history of high blood pressure, migraines, etc. I don't think it was a full on stroke, but I am not quite sure exactly what happened. Someone said something about TIA???

My grandfather is my #1 he's always been there 4 me with anything. I love him soX10 much.But, he has been a smoker everyday of his life sence he was 15 years old,but he stopped after he had a heart attack (at 65 years old). Now my papaw (grandfather) has lung cancer at the age of 72. I love him so much and idk how to help him, and now he's saying he seeing angels in his bed room, he wont sleep or anything. Someone PLEASE help me. i love him sos much and dont what him to die

Well, yeah, there's the whole doctrine that he "died for everyone's sins" and so forth, so the question is, why is that such a big deal? I mean if we look at things objectively, Christ suffered for a few days, though a not-all-that uncommon punishment of the day, and ultimately, after a short while back on earth, went back to being a third of a completely divine being, gaining omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, and omnibenevolance forever. Now, really, going to that from fully human shell, doesn't seem like a horrible deal.

What alternative did he have but to die? If he was both fully human and fully divine, then the fully human part would be subject to death eventually, so then would the sacrifice of God sending his son to die being the time Jesus speant on earth?... Wouldn't it be in both God's and Jesus's best interest for him to die sooner?

I'm sure I can get some insightful response to this, as it never quite made sense to me why it was a big deal.

If I go to the mall with my boyfriend he looks at other women smile at them and wave like onetime I was in victoria's secrets shopping and he was right beside me then 4 women passed and 1 of them smiled and waved at him and he smiled and waved back I don't think he should've smiled and waved back.
