Why are women deceptive, conniving, manipulative, selfish, emotionally driven bitches? Why is it that everything they say, think, or do involves some emotion clouding logic and reality and influencing their behavior? Why is it that you can point out the God's honest truth to them for hours at a time to no avail, frustrating only yourself and them in the process? Why is it that they live in a fantastic world where nothing is free from their distorted perceptions? Yeah. Good question, huh?!

Most of you are saying to choose better women in better places and analyze them to a better degree prior to initiating or entering into a relationship, but sometimes it's hard to determine these things prior. I don't mean to come off sounding misogynistic, or animus in any way, but I've just had some bad experiences, and I don't know what to attribute them to. Any ideas?

I agree with most of what you're saying. But there's a reason behind their behaviour.
First of all, you have to understand women are less physically powerful than men. A man can kill a woman if they're locked into a room for 5 minutes together. Therefore, women have to use their minds much more than their bodies in their dealings with men.
Think about it: if you're a woman, and your on your way to a first date with a man twice your size, wouldn't you have your guard up? It stands to reason that they're going to try and manipulate the situation..
Another thing, most women cherish only thing in life, which is to have children. That involves finding a suitable partner. A partner that will take care of her and her children. This is an extremely serious decision a woman has to make, probably the most important decision of her life.
They have to be manipulative and conniving to find the right partner. A woman will be ruthless if they find a man better than the one they already have.
I wouldn't let women get to you. Act cool, there's always another one around the corner. And you never know: she might be the one for you.

Some women are like that, but not all. Women, like men, are looking for the best possible "mate" they can find for a longterm relationship. It is a vast competition out there to to be able to find and marry a worthwhile person so your life can finally take off to higher levels. Many young American Men these days are still very immature at 25 and 30! Many girls are looking at guys even older than that who look young and are headed for better financial times. Most women seek security and good companioship as "vital" to any longterm consideration. A women is risking her youth and beauty the longer she takes to find a Mr. Right. The competition of young 18 to 25 years olds entering the playing field every year does not help either. These days many young American males are looking to many "foriegn women" because American women have sworn off domestic chores and child rearing which are "critical" to a successful and enduring marriage. There are more single American born women in the USA (2014) than any period since records were first taken and that goes back to the 1920's! So cheer up buddy, there are more than plenty of fish out in sea.

Whoa! To think they say men find it difficult to express their feelings.
Hey don't you brand us as all the same there are quite a few males I could fill a few pages with expletives to describe!
Should I include you,not even knowing you?
I wouldn't go so far to say that it is a good question, but,I bet you felt better after it. Emotional constipation is awful isn't it?
Never mind all better now!
What is this load, about, pointing out Gods honest truth for hour on end to no avail,etc.etc.?
Your sounding like a born again Christian.
Why the hell, would a world where nothing is free be fantastic, and why would they want to live there?
Oh,I get it,its their distorted perceptions that make them want to live there!
Sounds like you had a b*t*h of a Xmas.
Chill my brother.
Never know what the New Year will bring you.
Cheers,have a Good 2007

I don't know that this will satisfy the complicated splendor that is Woman...

However may I suggest the Film "As Good As It Gets" ~ With Helen Hunt, Jack Nicholson, Greg Kinnear. Jack's character portrays an eccentric/cynical writer, he walks into his publicists office one day... The receptionist loves his latest book and asks him "How is it you read women so well?" Jack's character retorts "Oh that's easy I just think of a Man and remove all reason and accountability..."

Oh I love that line so much, no I'm not a woman hater it's just that it's been my experience so often! Neither sex is perfect so all I can offer is that in relationships we choose our dysfunctional equal...

When you figure it out, let us know... There ARE too many out there making it hard for the few left who haven't converted into full blown psycho-bitches. I can tell you that I know too many - ("friends", the woman my father married and is stuck with, and ex-wives who refuse to let go of the men they cheated on, divorced, then want back when they find someone new, etc...) There are also lots of cool chicks out there who don't want anything to do with this draining, unattractive, and trashy behavior - some who are straight up, well-adjusted, and by being human, have flaws we don't go out of our way to hide. When deceptive, conniving, manipulative, selfish, emotionally driven PEOPLE are constantly creating circumstances that effect your inner peace and desire to keep positive energy flowing in your life, disrupting it and trying their best to infect that flow and drag you down, you start to find yourself developing similar behaviors, which are in direct conflict with your true self, and these behaviors are not limited to women. The "nice guy" syndrome is epidemic, and you "victims" of these so called vindictive women are always so nice, treat women so well, have crazy exes who are still in your lives, kids you're such great fathers to, and a whole load of poor me bull you believe yourself. Quit lying to yourselves, pitting women against each other, being spoiled passive aggressive brats, and man up. Quit calling your mamma, complaining to your "crazy ex" about your "crazy girlfriend", passively starting arguments and gas lighting fires of wrath upon yourself to justify passive aggressive attacks against perfectly normal women you 'nice guys' are masters of turning into bitches. Mother Theresa would lose it on your *** if she gave you the time of day. See a therapist. Many passive aggressive misogynists have 'nice guy' syndrome and find out they're repressing what they really want - especially you mamma's boys - you might just be gay.

Gee, I don't know. But I've always wondered what it's like to be a stupid sexist pig who hates women and is going to live a lonely unfulfilled life. Why don't you tell me.

EDIT ADDITION: You call all women horrible names, attribute vile characteristics to them all, think you're pretty cute for this, and now you don't want to come off as misogynistic and are asking for sincere answers? Nice try. I slam people who make untrue, prejudiced statements like "all men are pigs" just as bad as I slammed you. An emotionally immature response to frustration is anger, prejudice, hate, and self-centeredness. If you've ever seen a toddler try to get their way you've seen this. So you may not have expected to learn this by asking your question, but it's a great opportunity to learn it. Are you going to go through life solving problems by developing a chip on your shoulder? deciding that the way to solve problems is by blaming "them"? name calling? Oh yeah, I could go on, your initial question has all the characteristics of a real swell human being. So, behave like a stupid idiot, you get treated like a stupid idiot. Lesson learned? Give your problem more thought, ask a reasonable question, you'll be amazed at the difference in the answers you get.

I think you've been meeting women at the wrong places. Try meeting someone at church, or a singles group. Many women are emotional because of hormones and their ticking biological clock. We just have a certain number of years to bear children, but a man has most of his life to father a child.
