Peanutbutter asked people to identify the one thing that Canadians could take pride in - and many people responded with the Canadian medical care system.

Interesting that the healthcare system came up so frequently.

In my experience most of the Canadians that I have met abroad have very clearly explained how awful the Canadian medical system was in comparrison to local healthcare and expressed gratitude at being able to use the local system because they "would never have gotten the right treatment in Canada", "would have had to suffer for months before getting the right tests scheduled", "would have died before being able to see a specialist", "would have lost their baby if they hadn't run across the border to get proper care", "are living in because Canadian healthcare sucks", "husband would have died", etc. (note THEIR words, not mine).

I heard this most recently in Spain this year. So what's the real story?

I have had a loan with Sallie May for years but recently when I filed to refinance I was denied and with further investigation learned that I had a claim from Sallie May on My Credit report with the same name as me but a differentt social security number. When I talked to someone at hq they said that it was an error on there part that no on checked to see if the SS# matched. I am not sure what do do and they do not seem to be able to take it off of my report.

I have known this woman for 1 1/2 months and we have been talking about moving in together. I am madly in love with her and I know that she is in love with me. We talked about it and since I am always at her house, we figured it was a waste to keep my apartment and pay rent and utilities when I am not even there. My lease runs out January 31, so by the time we would be completely moved in together we would know eachother 3 months. I have never been happier in a relationship and she tells me she can't stand to think of waking up or going to sleep without me. Everything about out relationship feels right so I think this would be a good move...you only live once right? Is it worth the risk?

I expected that the first thing we would see is the top of the teeth when they punctured her gums. In our case, nothing has punctured the skin on her gums but we literally can see (presumably the front of) what appears to be her lower, front two teeth - through a thin layer of skin.

Rome specifically, but some sort of tour would be okay as well. I am not planning right away, but would love to look through some all inclusive vacations. I have already looked on some of the major travel sites (travelocity, orbitz, yahoo travel) and didn't find any vacation packages. Please and thank you!

Bevare of Cablevision, they try everything to sell you a service but after the contract expires and you try to change the service they charge you an arm and a leg because "your promotion expired". They do not care about the satisfaction of existing customers and that is bad management. Lucky for me and others there are many other providers who offer great services and friendly customer service for a lot less. Before you jump in and sign a contract, shop around and you will find better service for a lot less money.......

I am a stay at home mom and I have had a bad cold for about 3 days now(sore throat, cough, runny nose). Today my 4 month old woke up with a running nose, I am sure she has caught my cold. Is there anything I can do for her. Do I need to call the doctor or wait it out? Thanks
