A healthy way to do it is just to put yourself on a well-balanced diet, mostly whole grains, fruit and vegetables, with some lean protein and low fat diary, and watch your fat and sugar intake. Make sure to drink plenty of water too, and get some type of daily exercise. This will be surprisingly successful during the first week, especially for those of us (myself included) who haven't been eating properly during the holidays! After the first week or so, your body will settle down and lose 1-2 pounds a week, depending on your original weight, your metabolism, etc. Ask your doctor or a dietician if you have any questions.

yes, if a person is particularly overweight, starting a new lifestyle may indeed kick off a lot of weight, esp in the beginning. But as a person gets closer to their ideal weight, it starts coming off slower, but it's often the same proportion of weight.

Let's say a person's 200 lbs. and overweight. They start a new lifestyle, and in the first week, loose 5 lbs., or 2.5% of their body weight. As this person gets closer to their ideal weight, they may continue to loose 2.5%, but the amount of weight is less. At 185, it's a little more than 4.6 lbs, 150 it's 3.75.

I wouldn't suggest trying to loose more than 2.5% of your body weight in a week, though.

It possible but for the most part it will be water weight which will come back quickly after that week. Heavy exercises in warm clothing will let you lose a lot of water weight quickly. In order to safely lose that much real weight more time is needed.

Yes, by eating smaller portions, drinking moderate amounts of water and WALKING like at the mall if it's cold where you are. I lost 7 pounds in five days by doing this. I think the walking was the key for me.

Eat small amounts of food several times a day but make sure it's healthy like fruits and veggies. Stay away from breads. Drink lots of water also.

It is possible, I'm not sure exactly how though. I would guess increasing physical activity and eating more moderate portions of food. You can eat almost everything, but the real trick is how much you eat. Hope this helps any.

Breakfast eat cereals..Lunch eat salads and fruits and for dinner do not take carbohydrates food..Drink lots of plain water and do not skip breakfast as it gives you the energy..I mean of course you don't want to fall sick right..Lastly,preferable not to consume any food after 7pm..Your body won't be that active at night to burn the fats compared to day..Thats why refrain from eating at night. To be more effective then I suggest you to fasting. It works for me.
