I used to have long thick hair that almost kept stright on its own and I resently got a hair cut so that my hair is almost to my shoulders and it has a bunch of layers.
I took a showerw and naturally let it dry and its all wavey and puffy and curly.
How can I fix this?

I recently got out of a bad 4 year relationship. Im currently in a new one but I keep finding myself at a loss for the previous one. I know I'm over her but I still feel like there wasn't proper closure. We broke up on good terms and we were really good friends until her new boyfriend found out that I am the "ex" and made her choose between being my friend or being with him. Well she chose him and we stopped being friends. Now that I'm with someone new, I tried contacting her but she took as if I'm not over her or that I'm stalking her. Am I being stubborn or should I just let her go as a friend forever???

that you don't want her to go out with a guy, you like, but haven't exactly dated, but he has asked you to go out with him, but your mum didn't agree with it. so tecnically he never was my boyfriend, but how do i tell my friend i don't want her to go out him when all i ever did was text and dance with the guy at a disco? For the last few years we have gone to my in-laws house Christmas afternoon to visit and exchange a few gifts and eat and visit. This year I shopped as usual, a few well thought out gifts that I know these people would like and appreciate, and have everything wrapped any ready to go. This morning when I call to confirm what time we need to be there and if there is anything they needed picked up from the grocery store I was told "We are only having the kids open presents, the adults aren't getting anything this year."
I told my father-in-law that I had already paid for the gifts, wrapped them and had no way to return them. No big deal if they didn't get anything for my husband and I we got them things we knew they would like...and he got pissed off at me for saying that.
My problem is not so much the getting pissed off part it is the fact that he has done this to me before. Waited until a few days before Christmas to tell me that they weren't going to get us anything.

Following the instruction manual, I pressed the big TP button on my 4-year old Passat's radio (it says"Gamma" on the front of the set, which I suppose is the model). Now, any program I am listening to is interrupted by local radio traffic reports from towns up to 40 miles away. Does anyone know how to turn the TP feature off again? The manual seems silent on the point.

I connected with an old friend from high school two weeks ago. We have had really great conversations but she is taking it way too far and too seriously. I think she is convinced I am the one after only two weeks of talking and one visit. I don't want to hurt her at all, but I also need her to know I don't have romantic feelings for her...and it's Christmas time. I can't string her along until after Christmas because it's not fair but I don't want to destroy her and ruin her Christmas too.

I'm working on my dissertation, and it has two major current tasks. The first task is to edit and correct my literature review - I am missing alot of citations (my advisor said I need to have triple the number I have now) and need to go to the library and look at books that I can use to buttress statements I have made. This is a tedious task - given that my lit review is pretty long (130 pp). The other major task is to transcribe taped interviews that I have done as part of my data-gathering process. This is also tedious (takes me a bit longer than the 4 to I ratio often quoted (four hours transcribing for every one hour of tape) - but is a bit more relaxing and monotonous to do. In any case, both need to be done at some point.
I am more in the mood to transcribe - but if I don't fix my lit review, I wont be able to defend in Feb. Should I prioritize based on mood, or based on what 'should' be done - especially over vacation, while I have more time... Feeling Stuck - Halp!!
