With this new computer I have, I seem to be running into some problems with the interface responding to commands.

First is the copy problem. When I copy stuff from Notepad or OpenOffice or whatever, it works fine. However, when I copy from FireFox, and most especially from the FireFox address bar, much of the time the clipboard stays the same as it was before; the command just doesn't seem to register properly. I don't understand this as it worked fine when using FireFox on another computer.

Second is a text problem. When I click in the middle of some text and start typing, sometimes it overstrikes the next letter or two before inserting letters properly (the computer is always on insert, I never use the overstrike command). Additionally, when I select some text and then start typing to replace the selection, often it will select up to the next line up; in Notepad this can be quite disastrous because it only has one level of undo.

So, does anyone have a way of solving these?

I've been leaking radiator fluid for a while now and took my car in. The mechanic said I have a bad water pump. He quoted me $560 to replace it and said its a good idea while hes in there to replace the timing belt for an additional $175. I have a couple questions, first do i need to replace the timing belt? I want to sell this car ASAP so the least amount of work I have to do the better. OK second part of the question.... I called a mechanic all of my coworkers and our company uses, they quoted me $200 more than the original price but the accounting girl slipped me a name and number of a competitor under the table. She said she used to work for them and they would do it much cheaper because they are REALLY slow right now. They said if i bring it in tomorrow they'll do it for $300 (inclusive of pump, belt and labor). Does this sound too good to be true? I know it came from a good source but I'm nervous! Thats a HUGE price difference. Help!!

Hello, fellow Yahoo! Answerers! My name is Daryl, and I beg your assistance. You see, I am 3 years old, and in Pre-School. I need help with my homework. THe questions are as follows.

1. What color is the sky?
2. How many fingers are on your right hand?
3. If a tree falls in the forest, and no one's around to hear it, how does anyone know the tree fell?

You see, I have my guesses. For the first, the obvious answer would be blue. However, when taking into consideration those long Summer nights, the ones with the purple skies, one wonders. Also, should other planets be taken into account? As for the second, the long debate over the thumb's "finger status" comes into question. Some people are die-hard fans of the idea that the thumb is indeed not a finger. What if my teacher were to be one of these people? Finally, we get to the tree question. One could argue that a person simply found a tree on it's side. But, who's to say the tree didn't simply rot and fall over?
