I don't like wearing glasses and I want to ask my mom to get contacts but she says they're just bad. She said they hurt, they are annoying, they are a hassle to put in and out, and that they are bad for your eyes. But I still hate wearing my glasses. Should I still get contacts even though my mom says their bad? What are some good things about contact lenses?

anyone who's ever heard this song knows it's about a man and a woman.. who are secretly meeting and having an affair while both have responsibilities at "home." Is monogamy truly a natural trait of man, or is it the result of religious brainwashing? Do you think monogamy is an artificial concept set up by our society for structure and convenience? (Marriage and the family unit). If monogamy was so "natural" to man's inherent composition, why do songs like these exist?
Do you think true love can result from an affair, married or unmarried?

I am trying to use one hot side of a irrigation system generator, with the other wire of the socket tied to ground. The bulb lighted for about 5 minutes....seemed great. Then it blew out the screw-in base. Should I switch leads on the socket? Or use a limiting fuse? Maybe the hot side should be on the point of the bulb, huh? The bulbs are $9 apiece and I don't want to burn out another one.
