We've been married for a year and a half now. My husband chose to marry me without asking his family basically (though I know that any guy theoretically is free to choose to be with whoever he wants) but his family is of possessive type. I am of Asian background, our meeting was like a fairy tale according to many friends, wedding was awesome, everything is perfect until my mother in law comes into the picture. She was so angry upon my husband's choice, that she felt he left her behind. She's a queen control type, she doesnt even know that her husband is seeing a psychiatrist d/t her appalling behaviour. I'm still studying in NY and my husband is working in England. So most of our times we spend living apart. Now I'm back to spend winter holiday with my husband but I noticed now that my husband is succumbing to his mum's unbelievable attitude. She calls him everyday, as early as 6am and evthg we do now, is all under the advise of his mum til he ignores evthg I say. What should I do?

I have two sister-in-laws, that have alot of contempt for me and I don't know where it is coming from. I live in a small town and these two seem to make it a point to bad mouth me every chance they get. I am there for them anytime they need me and I don't butt into their relationships with my brothers unless I am defending them, so I wouldn't think that is the problem. I don't know how to handle these two anymore, I do have a feeling I am going to eventually lash out at them. One SIL will actually disrespect me in my home, and try to start arguements over anything, but I don't play in to her. I help them out anytime they need me to watch their children, and have great relationships with my neice and nephews. I have tried diligently to not be confrontational with them over this matter, but I am at my wits end. I respect my brothers and their choice in mates, but wish they would muzzle their wives.

I am a divorced mother of two, run a business and go to school full-time.

I asked my wife what was the most romantic thing I have ever done for her and she took awhile to answer, she said it been a while since I've been romantic with her, I thought I was but in her eyes she wants more.
