► Just use NVU editor (www.nvu.com), it's free and wont tie you down to one method of editing. NVU pages can be transferrable to frontpage or dreamweaver html editor
SEE http://www.interkeys.com/htmleditor for more info on Premium HTML Editors (WYSIWYG)
► For free hosting, try google pages pages.google.com or yahoo geocities ,
its sort of free hosting, but you are limited to a subdomain on googlepages & geo has ads on your website - otherwise I would use http://www.interkeys.com/tophosts to get one for a few bucks a month with 500 GIG bandwidth and the rich with features
its up to you how developed a site you want and if you want to use your own domain name

I would think that since your on Yahoo, you would know, because Yahoo offers a free website builder, but it can be confusing. I would suggest just clicking on Geocities in the directory of your home page on Yahoo or go to www.geocities.com It is a web tool that will help you design a website. You will have the www.geocities.com/xxxxxxxx in front of the title. But it will give you an understanding of how to build a website. Then later, when you have learned enough about html and building a website, then you can either pay for a ad free site or go somewhere else to another site builder. I like geocities, cause it is free. It has ads and if you want to eleminate them, just pick a package that starts at $4.95 a month. I also use www.bravehost.com which is another site builder. There are so many out there, just shop around. Remember, it will be confusing at first, but just keep trying and you will see that you can build a neat website. You might want to find a html tutoring site. You can type that into "Google" and they should show you plenty of sites to go to so that you can understand html. It is just a different way of putting text with strange brackets to do something. If you want to see an example, you can click on the "View" at the top of the page and then, click on "Source" and see what pops up. It is the html lanquage that makes up each page that you see on the computer. What you see, is very complicated, but you can learn the simple stuff first. So try it, have fun and good luck. me

Try looking for a place that lets you use a website template they have already made. Thats what I did and it's simple. Try either ipowerweb.com or bravenet.com. You could also get one from Yahoo. Most of the time they cost around $8 US a month if you sign up for a year. You can get a lot of different template choices and they're fairly easy to work with.

You have to learn HTML.
In layman terms, it the most basic knowledge requirement when you want to build your own website.
You can find a good tutorial here:-
http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_intro.asp
After you have learned HTML and created a tested offline version of your website, you need to buy a
- domain name
- web space
to host your website.

You can search for cheap and easy website creators. But first, you have to buy your own domain. For example, my computer teacher is Ms.Cardona, and she bought a personal domain called cardonaonline.com funny, huh?

Try searching for 'HTML Tutorials' on Google or Yahoo.
Otherwise, try finding a good web designer or even a free template.
