My black lab is 3 years old and is very very sweet, but man-o-man is she destructive. She digs and chews up everything. I thought that was just a puppy thing. I have thought about dog training, but don't have the time. Any suggestions?

She is climbing the artificial prelite tree that I got last year. She is bending branches and knocking off ornaments. Oh and eating the fake needles then vomiting them. What a joyful thing to come home to or wake up to. Cat vomit and a frazzled tree. I can't put her in a room she goes UNDER the door to get out.

Any Advice.

Anything I can spray around the tree to make her stay way yet let us be in the room?

basic parenting skills. It burns me up when I see people saying things like, "My child won't let me put a coat on them when it's 20 below zero outside". Or "How can get my child to stay in bed, they don't want to go to sleep and it's 2 in the morning." And, "My toddler refuses to stay strapped in her carseat..." It just drives me crazy when parents refuse to be parents! Our kids have enough friends and buddies, they need guidance and boundaries from their parents. But what always shocks me even more, is the number of people that provide them advice that just masks the real issue, "give them candy, just put more layers of clothes on, tell them you will buy them a toy, blah blah blah"! Sorry, I'm ranting, but I can't take it anymore today. Anybody else feel me on this? Please, I'm begging you, show me there are responsible, sensible people out there who know what it takes and do what it takes to be a parent, hahahahahaha.

And do you have any tips to help me transcend from this dull dyed brown color to what I believe will be a cool silver/black hair color? I'm 46 and SICK of dying my hair - my roots now are about 1/2 inch and I think, by looking at these roots, it will be a really stricking hair color when it's grown out. But I'm a little nervous about making such a drastic (albeit slow) change. Will I be perceived differently with predominately gray hair? Please tell me your experiences!
