Art is more than just creating. It is expressing the obvious in a unique way for all to benefit from and enjoy.

Originally art had much more to do with technè, (technique or craft) or the necessary skills to actually make something. Today it is much more to do with revelation and discovery - often on a personal level i.e. can the action or art of somebody make me see something about myself or others that I had not seen before? Art as a kind of social psychologist, revealing the zeitgeist's inner turmoils. I think that, whichever period or interpretation you are within, art should be taken as fun. It is both the most important thing we can do, and the most light-hearted.

Art is something that is made by an artist. No need for aesthetic value to enter into the picture (if you'll pardon my use of this expression).

Hello,
Sorry! that's an almost impossible question to answer to be frank with you, its like saying how big is the sky??
**there are as many definitions of what art is, as there are stars in the sky. And I'm talking as an artist & photgrapher myself.

Whatever you find beautiful, ugly but intriguing, understandable, puzzling...all in the head and emotions. You don't have to be able to see or hear to appreciate Art - it's how something created by another person affects you personally. If you feel no emotion - to you it's not Art, if you do...Voila!

Any created thing, not necessarily by man, the lifts ones spirit, soul, or mind. Some thing in which the viewer sees beauty.

Anything created by someone....could be painted or made in any form out of any material or substance..............sort of anything goes!
Personally i see art as real pantings with thought behind them.......visions of captured moments.
