Okay, so I asked a question earlier about wanting to go to graduate school in CA, FL, or TX and blindly assumed that admissions for graduate school mirrored closely that of undergraduate admissions. Ok, now that I know I'm wrong, I am worried that I may NEVER get into grad school. I suppose it would be helpful to know exactly what I wanted to study in grad school, but even when I make that final decision, I feel as though I have already compromised too many options. I have not done particularly well during my undergraduate years...not terrible, just very average. I lost much of my focus and drive to do well in school for a number of reasons...partly because I haven't had a goal that I was passionate about pursuing. Although I have attended a prestigious northeastern liberal arts institution, I feel like my very averagetranscript simply won't get me in to any graduate programs. Will the GRE save me if I do well on it? I've heard not. Did I waste my undergraduate education?

I dont understand how anyone in thier right mind would do what a stranger on the phone claiming to be a police officer told them to do, especially since no police would ever ask a person to strip search another, make them do jumping jacks in the nude, and perform sexual acts on others. I cannot comprehend why these people would ever believe a police officer would do such a thing, and why didnt they refuse to do the horrible things they did to the victim? Who I might add must also be out of her mind to comply with all the things these people told her to do without a fight. After watching the story on 20/20 I was completely shocked, they had video of the whole incident in the Kentucky Mcdonalds... and it turns out it was not the only time this had happened. I really cant believe average everyday people working at Mcdonalds could be naive and mindlessly obedient enough to do the things the fake policeman on the phone told them to do.... What do you think this says about those involved?

I have the Einstein play seat, a bouncy chair, toys and a swing but she gets bored quickly with each one. I am really concerned about spoiling her by holding her too much. I told a co-worker about something intimate involving a guy I have been talking to. I told him I told the guy and he was embarrassed and mad. I didn't realize it would bug him (I repeat everything to my close friends). I apoligized, but he is hurt. I realize I was completely wrong in this situation and I know not to tell EVERYTHING. What should I do? Just tell the dude I am untrustworthy and he should not bother further? Or is there anything more to even do in the situation? I feel really bad.

I am using DVD Shrink 3.2 to shrink a copy of Grey's Anatomy Season One. I have used it before many times with no problems, but it won't let me open the DVD. I decrypted it using DVD Decrypter. It plays on my computer fine, but when I go to to open the files in DVD Shrink, it says "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Invalid data in file "R:\Movies\Grey's Anatomy\Season One\Episodes 6-9\VTS_01_1.VOB". " It also doesn't work for my copy of Commander in Chief (second season) which also plays on my computer. Was there an error in decryption? If so it's no problem because I own both DVDs (legally) and I'm not breaking the law by copying them for my own personal use. Any suggestions? Or should I use a differant program? Thanks.

My name : Soeb khumri Age 49 staying in Singapore [ migrated recently from India ]
my hiccups not stopping since five days. Nature of my hicups is as under :
I get long hiccups which is Silent [ not making noise ] i feel my throught is blocked and my tummy jumping 5 to 6 times [ one hiccup ] some time it is prolonged and i feel suffocated [ can not breath ] seen some doctors they don't have any remedy for this problem along with hiccups feel burning sensation in chest & feels like everything coming up.

Second nature is when i go to sleep it takes time to settle down . once i am nearing to sleep hiccups stops [ only in sleeping position ] In the morning when i get up after a while it starts again.

I tried many things written on internet but not getting results. But i tried my own thing to wamit it out. Hiccups stops for a longer time but I get again.
I got this after 4 years but this time it is worse. Last time it was subsided in three days becoz of some leaves

I'm currently a student at the USMA, and will be commissioned an Armor officer upon graduation. I have met so many civilians that are extremely ignorant about what the US army is and what it does. I even had one person tell me that the majority of troops in Iraq were Marines, followed by the National Guard, and that the Army was useless! And I had someone else tell me that Marines did all of the fighting and the Army only existed as a reserve force for the Marines. Why dont people get their facts straight, that 120,000 US Army soldiers are serving in Iraq, thats 85% of the personnel in Iraq? And besides that, they are serving in Al-Fallujah, and Baghdad, in the Sunni Triangle, the most dangerous part of Iraq! This is seriously ridiculous, (I'm not bashing Marines, I have immense respect for the Corps) but Marines fight battles, the Army fights wars. We have all of the heavy equipment and supplies and take the brunt of combat.
