Theres a program that does that. You send in a strand of hair, and for the price of around 100 bucks they analyze where you're from like hundreds of thousands of years ago. I however forgot the name and website. Google it, because i know there is such a program.

Obviously, you can't. You can only trace your ancestry back as far as records were kept. There is now the possibility of doing DNA tracing, which can lead back to a general area, but which can not give detailed ancestry. That has to come from genealogical records.
The LDS (Mormons) in Utah have one of the world's largest repositories of genealogical records, but some of the records are sealed and not available to the general public.

All the way to the beginning of time...well there comes a point where no ones knows the answers (something about their being a lucky mix of chemicals in a pool or something like that, depends on your belief structure...) but yeah...umm, to go back as far as you can go,try genealogy groups, they will go back as far as they can in records...in my case there have been a lot of fires floods and revolutions in the recent past...i don't think i could find my family to far back...
in other news, they do have a way to trace genes back through mothers...they traced all human genes to one mother...so maybe eve did exist after all...

Supposedly, the mormons are a great source for geneology information. They have built a giant repository into the side of a mountain and are trying to pull a google - collect all the info in one place. So, if you are white, christian, and/or American, check out the mormons.

You can only go back as far as records were kept. I can go back to @ 1066 because records beforethat date were sketchy. Good luck
