I see that each of the different Christian denominations are a little different. Each one has some beliefs or interpretations that are the same and some that are different than each of the other denominations. I think my denomination is the one that is most correct. By most correct I mean closest to what the Bible says is the truth. I believe all denominations should be examined to see it what they believe is according to the Bible. If you find that they believe something that is not supported in the Bible then they should be given the chance to make a correction and if they do not you should leave that denomination and look for one with only those beliefs that are according to the Bible.
There is only one denomination that qualifies to have all their beliefs supported by the Bible. That denomination has a number of websites, but I like to refer people primarily to one website that I have found to be well done and easy to follow. It is amazingfacts.org
The major Christian beliefs where there is different beliefs by different denominations are listed in part below:
virgin birth
trinity
creation of the universe and all things in it
nature of Jesus Christ
what happens when you die
which day is Sabbath and how to keep it holy
what is hell
how to interpret the Bible
what role tradition plays
baptism
immortality of the soul
literal second advent
end time events
how is salvation obtained
healing
speaking in tongues
how to deal with homosexuality
investigative judgement
heavenly sanctuary
role of the ten commandments
etc
There is only one denomination that believes according the the Bible and the Bible alone on all of the above topics. Each of the other denominations have at least several of their beliefs on the above list that are contrary to what the Bible says.

I don't know about all religions, but I have knowledge of Baptist, Catholic, and Lutheran. The Baptist's don't drink, dance, or have much fun; that's not in the Bible, Jesus drank wine. The Catholics have all sorts of rituals and pray to the Virgin Mary; that's not in the Bible, the Bible says there is only one God and it's not Mary. The Lutherans believe the Bible is divinely inspired, ie. written by God through men. They believe the Old Testament is a history book and the New Testament is how we should live our lives today. Lutherans don't have a problem with drinking wine as Jesus did, but they believe they should follow the Bible when it says not to get drunk. Lutherans don't worship false idols and only pray to God.

The real answer to this question is VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY LLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNGGGGG!
To really understand the differences, you need to study the history of Christianity. Start with the Great Schizm to know the differences between Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox Catholics. Then go on to the (Lutheran Protestant) Reformation for Martin Luther's doctrines. Check out the Anabaptists after that, and then the Methodists (the Wesley brothers). I really hope you like history and legal-sounding religious gobbeldygook, because there is a lot of it! Have a ball.

No. Baptist, for example, believe in adult batism while Catholics and Lutherans practise childhood baptism.
Lutherans and Baptists are more liberal on divorce than Catholics.
Lutherans and Catholics are more noir and conservative about their services and practises than most Baptists.
