Madonna is Italian,was born and spent her childhood in Italy.then she moved to the states with her family as a young child and raised in Michigan,so she may have a bit of an Italian accent,shes now 48,so English accents don't just appear,although she has lived in England for the last few years,but unless you were born there,you don't got the accent,
she might be doing it since her kids are being raised there and will most likely pick up the accent.

Madonna is from Michigan for crying out loud, living in the US all her life until marrying Guy Ritchie. Her accent is fake! But long live Madonna, she can sport a Yiddish accent and still get away with it.

Please, Madonna was raised in Saginaw,/Bay City Michigan area....If you spend any time ( about two weeks) in another country or down south for a while or in New york, Australia,Jamaica, Haiti you will pick up the accent and start speaking like a native. Jolly good show old girl!

Nope just something she picked up while living with her husband. I read somewhere that quite a few of the British feel it's very fake and are offended by it. So I guess we aren't the only ones that she is annoying with it.

No she has adopted Britain.She has lived in that country for quite some time now. Her husband and son are British. So she is probably picking up on the British syntax because she is surrounded by it.

It's all a freakin fake with Madonna. There is no way she would have gotten that accent so fast.

Madonna probably picked up the accent while living in Great Britain with her hubby Guy Ritchie, who is British. I think it's rather nice.

No she doesn't. She married a brit and obviously likes the accent so she speaks with it because she loves the sound of her own voice...straight vanity, thats all.
