Political Correctness just seems to be another rigid ideology, brooking no contradition or opposition, and stifling freedom of speech, expression and thought, certainly for those whose views dont match the PC world view. What right do the PC brigade have to impose their particular set of ideals on society, the workplace, govornment, the education system etc? Who says THEY are right. Also, their views are also often patronising to those they purport to be protecting, assuming certain groups all have chips on their shoulders, suffer from persecution complexes, or paranoia. They often exacerbate problems, as well as fascisticly stifle free speech and actively persecute those not like them. Fascism?

How come on the catogries section with holidays there is a saint patricks day but no St Andrews day?

kicking question?

i just turned 30 weeks and my baby has been kicking me really low.like so low that sometimes it feels like shes coming out of my vagina!!its really strange.i was wondering if anyone else has felt this.i dont remember this happening with my other 2 pregnancies. and i know my muscles are looser now so i can feel more but its so strange!!

Why is it so hard to do what I now is healthy?

I am 26 yrs old with 3 kids and a husband I love very much. So how come I cant be a healthier person for them. I have smoked for almost half my life and I know its bad and I really dont want to die a misserable death but I cant seem to quit. Why? I also know it is important to excersize and eat healthy too and I cant seem to make it a habit. I wish when I had the free time to smoke I would exercize...What is wrong with me that I know what I need to do but cant commit to it!!

I avoid conflict because I do not want to hurt people's feelings. Is this normal?

Even if I was completely justified I always feel bad after defending myself. I have never been scared of people but I will usually let them get away with disrespect so I can avoid hurting their feelings. But I wasn't always like this. When I was younger I was, and I am not exaggerating here, the toughest kid in school. No one could beat me in a one on one fight. I was not a bully, as a matter of fact I hung out with the rejects to protect them from the predators. But something happened. I don't know if it was my mom continually trying to castrate me or what but I turned completely passive. The thing is, I don't know if I really feel bad for what I do or if I avoid conflict because I hate the voice in my head that keeps telling me I feel bad. Can anyone help me figure out what is going on?

is she pregnant?

me n my girl had sex about 20-25 days after her last period.she has irregular periods. but still she took morning after pill.it's been 6/7 days since we last had sex,[since she took the pill] and her period is approximately due, but she hasnt gotten it yet.should i be worried? she complained of nausea and vomitting two days back.

How can I be sure that my husband will legally be allowed to raise my son, if I pass?

Although I am not ill, I feel the need to make it known that if I were to die, than I want my husband to raise all of our children, even my son from a previous relationship. Is this possible without him having to adopt him, and if so, how? My husband would do anything to adopt my son. He is the ONLY father that he has ever known,(since 5 mos. old). Unfortunatly, his bio. dad (sperm donar is more adequate!) will not hear of it! His bio. dad went to prison when I found out I was pregnant. He was released shortly after my sons first birthday. He was incarcerated again when my son was 2, and is currently still in prison,( release date 2009). When he gets out, my son will be eight yrs. old, and will have never met him. He hasnt ever even sent a card! Last year, he requested a paternity test from prison. Ofcourse he was proven the father. I fear that if I were to die, then my son would be snatched from his wonderful father, and be forced to live with his criminal "father". What can I do?

My university professor hasn't signed the recommendation?

My university professor told me he won't write a recommendation for me :S!!! I wanted to reply to a university abroad and need recommendations. I was not the best student but am not too bad too! My average grade is 4.41 of 5 (where 5 is the best). He told me he won't write the recommendation because I don't have any articles :( !!! He had not even a thought that he has used my conspects of his lectures for several years already because I've written them so well!!! Tell me what do you think of this? Is it normal? I don't know because I've not been in such a situation before!

What is the white smoke coming from my vents?

I asked one question yesterday and then it seemed to have been the problem, so here is what I wrote yesterday: " 99 Ford Taurus, 115,000 miles on it and I have a check engine light on. (I asked a few weeks ago about a tie rod on it...lol) But now my defroster/AC/heater doesn't really work. I am going through antifreeze like nuts and it leaks to the ground. There is also a smell (I think it's the antifreeze) in the car, so I make sure to keep a window open at least a crack..."

My updates and added information - yes there is dampness underneath the passenger side floormat (therefore the conclusion of the leaking heater core...) BUT now I have a new problem, which I figured it was still okay to drive so I took it to the store this morning, about 3-4 miles away. On my way back the car started getting white vapor/smoke coming from the vents. I thought it was just the antifreeze until I smelled something burning!! Therefore I concluded it was smoke! Now what is this about??
