i just watched a documentary last night about certain gospels wwere removed from the bible and that it proves that the bible was alterd. and they had a good point. if it actualy were adam and eve in the beginning then we must have been the product of major rampant incest and we would all be brother and sister. however in the bible it says that among other things incest is a sin. the gospel were found in a cave in 1947 they were scriptures that looked like they were exiled. what do you guys think?????

Made a mistake with a girl a long time ago, she was older then me, but still living at home, and her parents didn't want me around at all, ended up moving away from that state. Never really was in his life, but always paid support, and made sure I knew how he was and etc. His mom and him moved to a city only 45 minutes away and she asked if I would want to get involved, either as 'dad' or just her friend. I want to get involved, but I'm scared I'll just make things worse, or harder for him. Could anyone give serious suggestions?

Have you ever left someone you still love? Someone you still love as much as the day you met them?

I am, or at least I need to leave my fiance. He has done nothing but impact my life negatively and it's time to cut my losses and get out. Have you ever found it in yourself to leave someone you love? Whats your story and how did you do it. And if so... without me he has nothing. He is going to loose everything he has... but I won't. How do I live with that?

I was reading a fascinating book where it said that people once thought in the 1950s it was fashionable to go and get themselves lobotomised. it gives me the creeps.

thankfully, they are no longer performed. (as far as I am aware.)

My view - yes, of course. It is a biological fact. But some of you on here seem to have very troubling views on the matter, and I have to ask, how are we NOT animals?
Do you not have bodily functions?
Muscles? Organs?
Can you not get diseases and health problems?

And God creating man above animals is not proof - could he not have created man above OTHER animals?

I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am, and it has been working terribly lately. While pulling out to pass on the highway last week, it stalled out completely and died. It starts up almost every time afterwards, but has been stalling more frequently. It stalled 6 times on the way home from the grocery store the other night. It had been sputtering and losing power previously to this, but these recent stallings are a new occurrance.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I was just curious what your responses to this is. This pretty much summarizes the BIGGEST hurdle to me believing in the Bible. Namely, the contradiction of the two accounts. If you could explain this to me, I will be a lot closer to accepting Christianity.
