the morning after pill is a very high dose of hormones. Those hormones can interfere with her periods.

There is always a percentage of risk when having sex with some form of birth control or emergency contraception. Just wait it out (i know how hard it can be) and see. Sometimes the morning after pill can mess up a woman's cycle when she takes it. And the nausea thing could have been caused by the pill. Thats why most times they give gravol with the pill. Play the waiting game. If she does end up pregnant be there for her and that baby. They will need you!

Wait till next month before you start sweating it. A pregnancy test won't indicate a positive result for 3-6 weeks after she's missed her first period. Nausea and vomitting are also signs of the flu, so it's possible that she was just sick. I wouldn't get worked up about it until you have some real proof, like a positive test, or you'll only succeed in driving yourself nuts.

The morning after pill causes pregnancy like symptoms for about a week after taking it (including nausea and vomiting). I would not be worried at all.

Has she taken a pregnancy test?
Sometimes women have PMS symptoms that mimic pregnancy so she could be experiencing this. With her irregular periods it's hard to know if she is pregnant or not - there is no telling when she ovulated! The best way to know is to get a test or see a doctor.

1. She wouldn't have symptoms like that so soon
2. The morning after pill does not always work...so yes..be worried and use preventive methods next time.

well the morning after pill isn't 100% accurate...also the morning after pill is very strong and can totally make you feel sick and even bleed a little..it isnt the safest thing for her health and really should only be taken unless really necessary! Keep your fingers crossed, and double up on contraception next time!

Why doesnt she take a pregnancy test? Sometimes when u stress a lot ur period gets delayed....nausa and vomit can also occur when ur stressed. I would say the best solution is to go to the doctor or take the pregnancy test.
good luck~!

Not likely but it is possible. The pill is not always effective!( the longer you a\wait to take it the less effective it is) I would wait another week and if she still has not gotten it then she should consult a doc.

my guess is that she is reacting to ther hormones in the pill, causing her period to be late with some sickness.I believe if used properly the morning after pill is very effective.
