If you could dig a straight shallow tunnel through the earth, say from NY to LA, and then evacuate it and put in a zero friction track, you could roll a train from one end to the other with no propulsion system other than gravity. As the train left NY it would roll very slowly, gain speed until it got half way to LA, then start to slow down, pull very gently into the LA station, then stop.

I need mainly the time it takes for the train to go from NY to LA.
I need to know the calculations needed and how to do them.

Ive been dating this girl for awhile now. Im only her 2nd b/f shes only done sexual acts wiht one other person besides me. she has told me some of the things she has done to this other person. A custody order exist from the state of North Carolina. It's been in effect since 1999. I recently moved to Georgia and my ex says I can't see my child until I have it switched. She will be 11 yrs old at the end of Dec. How old would she have to be, before she could choose which parent she wanted to live with? How do I go about this whole thing? My ex has not abided by the already existting court order as it is and hasn't for years.

I've been dating this guy for like 2 yrs and during the summer my boyfriend Jim had moved down to Southern Cali. for his full-time job. I currently live in Bakersfield with my parents. For my 21st birthday this past weekend, I had drove to L.A. to see my b/f as well as stay the weekend. The thing was, after we had dinner and were on our way back to his place we got caught in a red light at a intersection. Not sure if Friday night had to do anything or the fact that Jim does drive a nice car, but a group of girls in a car pulled alongside my b/f's car at a red light. Instead of minding their own business, the driver got Jim's attention and the driver started shouting to him saying, "My friend here in the passenger seat thinks that you're this totally HOT! HOT! HOT! GUY!!" Jim kept talking to these gals like I didn't even exist in that whole event that took place. What would you girlfriends have done? And also, do you girlfriends think that Jim likes me like he says he does?

I spank my kids. When I go in public my kids are the ones behaving themselves. I do think there is a limit between spanking and beating (A BIG ONE and if you beat your kids you should be in jail!). I think that the reason that kids are the way they are these days is because there not spanked!!!!!!!!!!!!! I belive that kids should have manners and respect thier parents. I would like to know other peoples points of view on this. I also feel sorry for all the kids out there that have no disaplin because even the Bible says if you don't spank your kids you don't love them!

My day has been going great!!! I got a raise at work and I got a tip and I honestly thought that my day couldn't get any better!... but then it did!!! My friend who I've been liking for a while asked me to be his date for the Christmas Formal!!!!! Now my day honestly can't get any better!! ahahha Can this is true?? Am I dreaming???? Is this too good to be true???? I think that he may like me too but I asked him and he said that we're only friends. Can he be hiding his feelings for me??? I agree to be his date, but am I agreeing to be more than just friends???
