I've been dating this guy for like 2 yrs and during the summer my boyfriend Jim had moved down to Southern Cali. for his full-time job. I currently live in Bakersfield with my parents. For my 21st birthday this past weekend, I had drove to L.A. to see my b/f as well as stay the weekend. The thing was, after we had dinner and were on our way back to his place we got caught in a red light at a intersection. Not sure if Friday night had to do anything or the fact that Jim does drive a nice car, but a group of girls in a car pulled alongside my b/f's car at a red light. Instead of minding their own business, the driver got Jim's attention and the driver started shouting to him saying, "My friend here in the passenger seat thinks that you're this totally HOT! HOT! HOT! GUY!!" Jim kept talking to these gals like I didn't even exist in that whole event that took place. What would you girlfriends have done? And also, do you girlfriends think that Jim likes me like he says he does?

One more thing, I brought up the whole incident when we got back to his place and Jim kept saying that I misunderstood everything that these girls weren't flirting with me, but indeed that they were just making a friendly conversation. Few days ago I had brought it up again with Jim and this time he tells me that I wasn't present when that event took place. What is going on with Jim? Does he love me or is he just using me for sex? Somebody please help me!!

If I was in that car and my bf was talking to a carload of girls like I didnt exist, I would be majorly pissed. I would get out of the car and tell them they could have him. If you have been with this guy for two years and he treats you like this after you have driven all that way to see him then he is not worth it. Find someone who will appreciate you and treat you the way you should be treated. With respect.

I say if you live out of town and don't really trust him or don't have a serious relationship maybe move on .............. and if he ever comes back around start talking again. But i'm sure it's hard to not know what hes doing and where he is at. Especially if he's got girls looking at him when your with him!

I think I would have leaned over and told them, sorry girls he's all mine. Then, he would have gotten the picture that you weren't comfortable with his flirtation and that you want him to realize that you guys are committed to each other. It's important that you are confident in your love because your guys is going to be around other girls and he will flirt but you have to trust that he won't cheat on you. If you don't trust him, you shouldn't be in a relationship with him. If you do, just let it go, people flirt, but he loves YOU! Trust that okay?

have u talked this out with him? this was really rude of him. how disrespectful to u. and u should let him know about this. well at least he showd u his true colors.so maybe u should consider seeing other people for more options. this way in case if he breaks off w/u.then u have it down where u wont be as hurt as u probably would have if not seeing others.

I don't think this has anything to do with how much he likes you. Your b/f was put on the spot by a group of girls who were flattering him. I would have told him I agreed with the girls. Flatter him even more and he'll love you for it.

well first of all hunny you need to respect yourself!! obviously this guy does not care about you or your feelings...if he could sit right in frount of you and tlk to girls like your not even there dnt even think about what he would do if you wherent there...I think you really need to look at all the signs and move on sista...theres plenty of nice guys out there that would treat you the way you wanna be treated..plus you just turned 21 enjoy it!!!

wow that was incredibly insensitive of him. if i were in the car i think i would have yelled back at them how HOT he really is! oh and how TAKEN he really is.
it is more likely that he was so flattered by them that he was only focusing on himself. it doesn't make it right. but it could explain why he didn't just say thanks and then move on.
tell him how his behavior made you feel. if he is still insensitive about your feelings then you should probably look for love elsewhere.
