For all of you who don't know, its a children's book thats making waves in Shiloh, Illinois. Its based on the true story of two male penguins from New York's Central Park Zoo who adopted a baby chick and raised it as their own. Parents of the children are complaining of the homosexual overtones and believe that children are not mature enough to handle such an idea. My spin is that children in some respects handle issues like these with much more aplomb and decency than people credit them for, and it might not be the kids that have a maturity problem with this issue. What do you guys think?
