You have to look outside the box....ebay is supply and demand. There are people on ebay who will launch auctions and have people bid up on them..to set an average asking price so it forced otheres to do the same. Just because $3500 is the asking priced doesnt mean money is exchanging hands. It just means thats what the auction closed at it. Its an illusion and than that forced others to also ask for higher priced but the one who started it to make a higher profit since the illusion was spread and accepted by neive ebayers. 50% of ebay is fraud mind you! You can't always believe what you see in the media and its the same for ebay. Ebay is a very clever (not ebay themselves but the ebayers selling) and organized gangter mob out for money and thats it.

This is why some salesmen wait in line and preorder 10 PS3s, they know they can get a lot of cash moneh. This is how it is every time new consoles are released.

yes, that is absolutely insane...when next year it's gonna be like $200 at the stores..I guess you would have to be a video game addict to understand.
out here in NYC, people were waiting on line in front of the stores for days. and some people were actually selling their spots on the line for like hundreds of dollars, and on top of that they would have to buy the PS3..this is just absolutely ridiculous to me!
