you ate/ drank something so hot that it scorched your tongue, which then prevented you from tasting so you couldn't enjoy the food/ drink?
Did you then feel disappointed or that it was a total waste?

about a week ago for me drinking hot chocolate...
i was so mad that i spent money on the drink and couldn't even taste the drink.

3 weeks ago was having a cup of hot chocolate, and man I was ticked off as well, I hate when that happens and I am sure I will forget about it again and then go get another cup of hot coco!

about 1 week ago, all I wanted was a hot cup of tea & it was sooooo hot that I did burn my tongue. I couldn't taste anything for 2 days! Ouch!

A few days ago on some country crock mashed potatos. I heated them up in a microwave and started to eat them. I hit a hot spot like lava and burned my tongue good. It's just this morning back to normal.

Pizza. I was starving and just started eating without realizing that it was that hot. It even left a blister! I was ruined for like a week! I couldn't even taste a soda.

About a year ago in Dallas. I ate some Thai food, and yikes! It was spicy hot. Blistered the roof of my mouth!

I don't remember when the last time was. But I hate that. Yes I always feel disappointed or even mad at myself for doing that. I know better.

yesterday.the thing was not food,actually while bathing suddenly some sope entered my mounth.it was so yucky and i had a fowl taste on my mouth for one hour.really dumb.
