If so, does this involve the same principle as sticking a female opera singer in a room full of glasses on shelves and asking her to sing in as high and loud a pitch as she can?

I called the police on the man that i was seeing only because he started to become physical with me. i had to protect myself... i asked him to leave and he didnt... 30 minutes later he left... as he was walking out the door i got his things together.. i asked him to take his stuff, he fliped out on me again. But i was really nice to him that time. I said please just take your stuff, so then there is no reason to come back here. thats when all the name calling started and other stuff. my daughter seen him hit me through the window she was looking through.... when i came inside she said mom i called them boys on him.... at first i was upset, but then i said ok.. i will wait till they get here..... I feel bad.... because i hit him too. now the court put a 2 year no contact on him.. what do i do. this has never happened before to us... what can i do??? should i leave it the way it is....

I know this should probably be in a different category, but I think women would relate and understand better in here. I am very stressed out, esp. being so close to the holidays, and I need some advice on how to destress myself. I was fired from my job last month, and didnt find out until 2 weeks later (long story). I found out from a letter from my insurance company telling me I was no longer covered. So right there, thats two major stressors. My son has ODD (oppositional defiance disorder) which is very hard to deal with as a single mother, and my fiance and I just signed the lease for an apt, moving in Dec.1 about 40 miles from my current address. I need to find a job, unemployment is barely enough, but without any openings in the local daycares I may have to get a 3rd shift job, only letting me sleep while my son is awake all afternoon. I know I can only fix one thing at a time, but does ANYONE have any advice or suggestions on how to let myself calm down?

Yeah anyway long story short, I brushed up against a barbed wire fence and my ballbag got caught on it, tearing it apart and my balls fell out. I picked them up and put them back in and stapled up my ballbag, is there a chance that I could develop an infection???

I am a 21 year old female student in LA. I met another woman my age and we're in love. There's one huge issue that is troubling me: my girlfriend doesn't want to be my "girlfriend" in public. She's an aspiring actress and thinks being publicly perceived as a lesbian would harm her career. My girlfriend has said that it is OK for us to tell family members about our relationship (we have, and they all approve), but that in public, we need to be "just friends"--and that from time to time she will have to appear to have a "boyfriend" in order to squelch rumors she is a lesbian.

I am torn. I love my girlfriend and want to be with her. I also want to be honest about who we are. I don't want to put unreasonable demands on her, but as time goes on and our relationship deepens, I am afraid that this will be a secret impossible to keep--and both of us are going to be terribly hurt. My father agrees that being "publicly lesbian" CAN harm her acting career--and I don't want that at all!

I got viral encephalitis and had 7 gran mal seizures in the early part of september, docs have no idea what type, why, or where i got it. slight brain damage to the lower part of brain that controlls balance, everything seems ok now. But i'd like to know what are the chances of getting it again since i've had it once before? Could there be lasting side effects that they(docs)just don't see?

Why is male bond so strong? I realized that women are always judgemental and so female bondings are often weak. While males can get together, respect each others, and call each other "bro" so easily.

How come males respect other males more (with no given sense of competition), while not befriending with females due to lack of attraction?
