If so, does this involve the same principle as sticking a female opera singer in a room full of glasses on shelves and asking her to sing in as high and loud a pitch as she can?

I read about the glass...but...well I've walked past people 'playing' glasses by putting a bit of water in and running their finger around the rim...and seen it on TV...

How is there sound when they do this?

Are the glasses resonating?

Is resonating the same as oscillating or vibrating?

Things will only resonate at a particular frequency if they are all of the same density and tension (ie: it's unlikely that the glass table top will resonate with the wine glass as the glass table top is most certainly denser and is under load).

Only if the glass is made of high quality crystal will it 'ring' and the oreapa singer story.... only 1 opera singer has ever managed to break a glass whilst singing... its all about your voice hitting the right pitch to resonate exactly with the crystal.

It can be done at very close range... but in an open area of a opera performance... its only been done once.

So yeah... glass thing must be crystal

I have round, glass excellent tables in my the front room also. i replaced into irritating about them yet got here across that when you consider that they are rounded, they are honestly a lot extra secure than a sq. or rectangle one will be. My oldest is 3 a million/2 and that i not in any respect had any issues in any respect w/ holding him danger-free round them. If he/she ever hit it, redirect them early on and also you mustn't have any issues (see you later as your are continually observing them till they study they could't mess round it). i do not fairly understand what you should use to ward off the fingerprints except some variety of table textile (that can look humorous). through the time your baby is up and going and dragging round their toys, the fingerprints stands proud because the perfect project on your concepts, LOL! (heavily!)
