I can't afford to pay a pest control person to come take care of the fleas, so what's the best "at home remedy" to get rid of fleas in your house? They are biting us, and I need to do something before it gets even worse.

Thanks in advance! :o)

For the last two years I have been getting my hair highlited through the cap thing. It started growing out and so I decided to get some of that cheap stuff from Wal-Mart and dye it back brown. My hair is layered sort of like that Jennifer Anniston look and I use a flat iron and since I've dyed it brown, you can see major split ends and it is very dry. If I were to get all the split ends cut off it would be very short and I like the lenghth it is. Any suggestions on a good conditioner or something? I want it to look shiny. I use that Frizz Ease and the Aussie 3 minute miracle and even that Scruples Moisterex but I need something that will repair split ends and make my hair shiny if there is such a product. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi. I really need some serious advice. I have never told anyone about this but, when I was 10, I am 18 now, my father molested me, and he is abusive to me and my Mother. And I keep having these recurring nightmares that he comes into my room and beats me to death, I usually wake up having panic attacks. My b/f has said he will get me a place to live but his mother really doesn't like me and he can't do anything without her permission. I have a few thousand dollars in savings. Should I get my own place?

I have around £22,000 and would like a good sporty car. Already have a large car so it doesn't have to be particularly practical. Any suggestions?

I recently met up with a friend who has just started at uni and we had a great day together until she took me back to the halls where she is staying. I confess I felt jealous of her new life and jealous of all those people who get to see her everyday as she is probably one of the most wonderful people I have ever known. I inwardly became more bitter and when she was walking me back to the station I made a comment, nothing too hurtful but it would probably have made her aware of my feelings. We havn't spoken of this though. I know that I shouldn't have behaved in this way and I do feel ashamed. Does this make me a bad friend?

How long will it take before the enemy decalres victory and brings the jihad to the shores of America.

I am making a big Thanksgiving dinner and I wont have very much help.
It seems I always run into problems when I make mashed potatoes.
I never know how small to cut the potato to boil and I never know how long to boil. And to mash I usually use my handheld mixer..sometimes the potatoes taste like I boiled too long and are not creamy

Who can tell me how to make perfect mashed potatoes that will be a hit at my house this year?

Once upon a time my car must have been for sale with lots of stickers on the inside windscreen and it seems impossible to remove the remaining sticker marks. I have tried simple household products but does anybody know what the car trade might use?

I need advice. I missed 4 years of secondary school and ended up getting G grades in my GCSEs (apart from a D/C grade in English)
i was suffering severe depression after losing my grandmother and also school phobia but no-one got me any help. i was also suffering neglect at home.
after I sat my GCSEs no-one really got me any help...and as a consequence i very stupidly sat at home until I was 18.
I am so scared.....because I don't even know how to cook, use a washing machine, use public transport etc.....
Can I fix this situation by using Home tuition? If so then how should I go about this? how would I know how to arrange the sujects/which subjects to take/how many hours? I am imagining that it would take me 5 years of home education to catch up (I'd be 23 by this time) before I could sit my GCSEs. How would this work?
Who would teach me though? my dad would probably be working for most of the day, my mum is terminally ill :'(
and my dad says that he couldn't afford to pay for pay for home tuition(could he not get a better job or we move into a smaller house?) also...what if my dad refused to let me have home tuition?
I have loooked at doing GCSEs at college...but i don't see how it could ever work..theyonly cover work from the last 2 years of school...and I missed years and years of work even from before then...so I wouldn't understand the content of the course
also...I wouldn't have a clue how to put a programme of GCSEs together/link the subjects....or how to learn stuff such as how to write a cv, use a bus, cook etc....
or have a clue about careers/jobs etc....
my only other option is an entry level course for complete dim-wits(sorry) I feel physically sick. even if I did this I most likely still wouldn't get any support at home.....
What on earth am i going to do? Would home education work? HELP!!!!!!

Recently my PNC Bank checking account was overdrawn for 1 business day then a deposit I made cleared and it was ok again. I have never been overdrawn before. One check and one Visa check card transaction made it overdrawn, so the bank charged $31 for each item, totalling $62.

I plan to go talk to someone at the bank to see if they can erase the fees. What is my best approach to take with them?

For the record, I know that fees are the natural consequences of being overdrawn, I am not disputing that here. It know it's my own fault, but I'd still like to avoid $62.00 in fees -- that's a lot of money.
